- If you do have to get a business license, you have to deal with zoning laws. If this is a small business being run out of your home, you can't meet with clients at your home, at least in some states.
There's a good chance you don't care about either of those, as maybe you're not going to pay taxes or file for a business license, etc, but you asked, so it's something to consider
He can't enter into a contract, and I think you'd have to do that to accept 10K for a domain name.
IANAL, but I doubt that offer means anything. I'm not sure, even if he were not a minor, how offering to sell the domain name to them would make their case that it was a bad-faith registration. Lending to the fact that it wasn't a bad-faith registration is that it's based quite directly on his real name, I'm assuming (I didn't read the article).
