Although the author of that article tries to make it seem like this is near unstoppable, there are actually several feasable methods by which this can be stopped. 2 off the top of my head.
Install an IPS. An IPS can do a deep inspection of the packet no matter the port and identify/block unwanted traffic.
When Skype servers are used as a form of proxy there are several options. A)Have the firewalls block Skype IP addresses. B) Decrease the timeout value for UDP packets on the firewall.
Mapquest gave the option of toggling between satellite imagery and maps several years ago. They seem to have dropped it recently, but Google is definitely not the first. I know this because a friend of mine got lost in downtown San Diego back in 2001 and I was able to give her directions based on building descriptions thanks to MapQuest satellite imagery.
Firefox is for the aver age user. Mozilla is for the power user. They are not the same, and so hopefully Mozilla will not go away. Your ability to configure things in Firefox is severely limited compared to Mozilla. Go try it for yourself and see.
Mozilla is quite simply more powerful

Firefox seems to be designed as a very good replacement for IE. It is faster, safer and has more features, but it cannot do what Mozilla does. I have always viewed the Fireefox and Mozilla as being for different crowds. Firefox is for those who want a fast and simple browser, but don't need the ability to customize all the settings. Mozilla is for the power users who want to tweak every portion of their browser.
I for one hope no one ever replaces Mozilla with Firefox, because although I like Firefox, I don't enjoy being restricted on what I can tweak. If you don't know what I am talking about, go download it here http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/ Then play with the preferences, you won't be able to miss the differences.
Got it. Much Thanks

Yes, that is all great and well, but do they allow you to run servers on these lines?
