True, but it definitely does have to exceed the athlete's abilities. It seems that every Olympics the margin between Gold, Silver and Bronze gets smaller and smaller. What was the difference between Gold and Bronze in the Men's 100M Dash?.02 of a sec. If the technology was even 10 years older, they would probably have called a tie between all three of them.
Considering the average cost of a laser guided bomb is ~$30K and even the "cheap" JDAM precision munition kit is ~$18K. Is $23,000 such a high price ? And how many of these robots can you buy for the cost of one Tomahawk missile? (BTW, they're ~1M USD apiece)

Do you not read the article before posting? It says they will be sending up seven grams of ashes. Not much chance of spreading death and disease with those.
