Which brings us back to the super stupid plot - dumb plot for dumb people.
Seriously, if the solution is anything other than shooting them dead - as reality demands - the writers assumed we're all morons. I dunno - sounds like they may have hit their mark.
The chances of a super intelligent, super aggressive, alpha-human level predator not being genocided is exactly zero. Humans have done far worse to other humans for far less. The fact its a sub-human species means its an absolute given.
Ya, from the first preview I ever saw, I just assumed it was one of two things. One, some cross species super virus as a result of the drug. Or, it ultimately turns everyone into monkeys - basically DNA regression.
Honestly, unless there are super hot naked chicks in every scene I can't imagine how this movie is anything better than a rental.
The two reviews I've read of it basically said the movie was written by monkeys - for monkeys. If you're a human of even remotely human intelligence, you'll pass.
And the previews - what I can say, looking incredibly dumb - though the graphics look great. So for me, the reviews completely confirmed the obvious conclusion one can draw from the previews.
I means seriously. This is the fucking PLANET of the apes. The movie should be called one square block of the apes. Let's see, the handful of super intelligent apes and monkeys (in comparison with humans) revolt. They grab spears. The military comes out and butches the shit out of them in five minutes. Ape deaths - all of them. Human deaths - a handful of civilians. End of story. If that's not how the story goes, the writers are idiots (monkeys), writing for other idiots (monkeys). And if that is how the story goes, well, its a dumb fucking movie.
There, I just saved you all a bunch of money on tickets.
Rick Perry is too busy using emanate domain, stealing land from people and giving it to his friends and cronies, to bother running for President. If he actually runs, I guess that means he ran out of land to steal.
The other problem with "cleaner" is that it doesn't mean what most people think its means. "Cleaner" means in relation to the things they are actually required to measure. There has been many stories about "clean" water actually being far worse for human consumption than some "dirty" water.
Clean, and therefore "cleaner", is completely relative. As some environment scientists say, its clean only because we don't care to actually measure how dirty it actually is; as oppose to what the EPA actually requires. Basically, what's clean versus the "clean" the EPA requires are frequently worlds apart.
A massive chunk of what needs to be done is the social services programs. Social security was NEVER intended to be a retirement fund. It was never advertised as a retirement fund. Now its being used as a retirement fund. This in itself will bankrupt our country. Period.
First and foremost, if you are not talking about massive cuts to social services programs, you're pissing in the wind. Government spending is the #2 priority ( I'm not including war spending in this; which must also end). Any other priority is absolute idiocy.
Of course the program is, those farming the services programs fall into two groups. One, the AARP is fairly large and powerful. And two, the extremely poor feel extremely entitled to take what they're not owed. So regardless, its extremely unpopular to do what absolutely must be done. And the fact is, no politician has the balls to pay the price of what absolutely must be done.
So at the end of the day, its politician's desire for survival which is completely fucking this country.
What needs to be done is absolutely clear. What will be done is fuck this country until the people stand up and admit they are shopaholics living well beyond their means and that the poor and retired and killing us.
Bluntly, if you're not shouting about passive social program cuts, YOU are part of the problem.
You fail to see the truth. The fact is, ALL of the agencies are anticipating a downgrade of the US' credit rating specifically because of extremely poor budgeting, not actual plan for debt reduction, poor management, fear of inflation, so on and so on.
What you're calling, "emotion", and actually strongly supported analysis for an extremely poorly run country. The only role emotion has in doing this is the fact they did it now rather than six months from now.
Honestly, they did us a favor (after the fact that Rep's completely fucked us [I'm a registered rep] by making this an issue in the first place) by only one lowering our rating. Basically its a warning shot to fix the fucking country. We have roughly six months to a year before the run actually gets pull out from under us. If its not fixed, the Reps have completely destroyed our country while trying to blame dems.
You have to be a complete piece of shit to destroy the fucking economy just so you can have a scapegoat to blame dems in the up coming elections. The only sad thing, there appears to be a massive number of epically stupid people who actually want to blame dems for the total ass fucking reps have given this country.
Which is not to say dems are without blame. Honestly, kill them all and the world becomes a better place.
The problem with a nuclear bomb over a reactor is simple - the bomb releases all the energy at once - and it is effectively wasted
They also have an extremely poor conversion rate - typically in the single percentages, which is why they are typically very dirty. The other 91+% is just dispersed all over the place.
Just to make sure I didn't over sell, please keep in mind, while I do know there is a lot of static analysis which currently does take place for the JIT, I have no idea how much of that is exposed as a compilation/diagnostic tool. And my comment above was specifically focused on discussion to empower developer level static analysis. As such, I have no idea if at this point its strictly theoretical.
I completely agree with your Google assessment. Honestly I was amazed Google went the Java route and not the Python. Bet they wished they had now. Though I'm not really surprised. Google suffers badly from Java dysmorphia, in that they wrongly believe its a language programmers really want to use. As such they see Java as a hammer and the world as a nail.
In typical Google fashion, they never really stopped to asked if Java is a language programmers want (its largely not) and if the enterprise factors which pushed Java into many companies need apply (it doesn't). Which, of course, leaves everyone scratching their head with a WTF?!? In fact, most Android developers are displeased with Google's Java+Android position, and were downright pissed when Google had the balls to tell people that only dopes code in C/C++ and worse, a full C++ feature set on Android is for idiots. And of course, that was another case of classic Google dysmorphia. Obviously they did eventually make a reversal, but largely the damage is done. After all, what most programmers want is C/C++, and if they want to support some type of VM+core language, most would prefer something like Python, Ruby, LUA, and so on.
I don't know if you followed Android during the early days, but there were basically two camps. Camp one was those who went to Android specifically because it was Java. Of course, during this time, Android+Java developers were a tiny group. And then there were those who were simply interested in an Apple competitor almost without fail, they all wondered what the hell was wrong with Google and their Java dysmorphia that most people didn't want anything to do with - which was further compounded in that it targeted a byte code VM.
So you're anti-capitalistic now? You're socialist?
Why is it so many/. posts demand socialistic freebees and but a capitalist paycheck. Its should only be free (and socialist) when its out of someone else's pocket.
It you take a peek at some of the PyPy discussions, you'll find you're not alone. And some admit that a compilation phase during developing for the sole purpose of static verification, where possible, is on the minds of some.
70%? Source, please. If everyone slowly charges their cars over 10-16 hours, this might work, but if many people want to charge their cars at the same time, it will bring the grid down to its knees. An electric car charger can add as much strain to a grid as a whole house.
You entirely missed the point.
By design cars are planned to support multiple charging modes. The most basic designs assume a fast charge and a slow charge. Those charging at night will use the slow charge method.. Furthermore, there has even been discussion on allowing the car to participate in the smart meter network such that it can intelligent switch based on current grid load in the neighborhood.
So long story short, typical charging at night, is fully expected the charge cycle to be spread out over at least 6-8 hours; if not longer.
Its not like the people planning this stuff are absolute fucking idiots. Making such lame assumptions tends to point the finger in the opposite direction.
As PyPy matures and begins to rival Java in performance, I strongly suspect Python will begin to offset Java in the enterprise. Most studies clearly indicate Java is not a desired language by most programmers. Rather, most programmers program in Java because the enterprise dictated it. With Java/Oracle beginning to lose face, IMOHO, it opens the door for languages programmers actually want to use. This means languages like Python, which have extremely rich libraries, easily integrate with other languages, and continues to grow in appeal.
Ruby, of course, is not in the running as its positioned itself as the anti-culture (anti-enterprise) hipster language.
There is a great deal that is "inherently bad" about throttling.
You keep saying that but its simply not true. Saying it repeatedly only means you like to repeat yourself - it doesn't validate your argument. Throttling is commonly used to ensure QoS. For the vast majority of people it means ensuring they get what they paid for.
So please, tell us how QoS is bad.
Basically your entire argument boils down to, some minority do it poorly therefore it is all bad. If your insanely stupid logic, because some criminals do insanely bad things, you are one evil, twisted, demented motherfucker.
Obviously, your argument is full shit, unfounded, and flies in the face of what any good network engineer would do.
You just invalidated your argument. There is nothing inherently bad about throttling. This is called quality of service (or QoS). The fact you purposely conflate the two after immediately being told this is a common problem pretty much invalidates your argument as it confirms you have no knowledge of the things you pretend to argue.
There is a difference between throttling (which absolutely is net neutral) and throttling to a specific website (which is not net neutral). I point this out because without fail, people here always conflate the two and mistakenly believe all throttling is both bad and non-neutral.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying its a bad thing. CLI is consistently faster and easier the GUI to anyone who's bothered to learn it. If they can expose the CLI without requiring the classically steep learning curve associated, I completely support that. But at the same time, sometimes irony is just funny.
For example he typed "mic" to find out how to set up his microphone and under related concepts it gave him a nice tutorial on speech recognition which he didn't even know Win 7 had.
I think its funny as hell that your argument to support MS has an improved GUI is that they added a CLI.

Sadly, that certainly sounds like a better movie.
Beer is actually good for your yard - especially if you have thatch. It also kills slugs.

Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence?
I find incompetent malice to be alive and well in the world.

Type qualification is slowly making its way into python. They are considered optional but exist to allow for better JIT optimizations.
Beyond that, decorators can be used to strictly type arguments and whatnot.

Not at all. The effect is distributing the load throughout the period which is traditionally considered off-peak.
