I was wondering if any other anime folks have latched onto this little gem. It's done by Paul Verhoeven/Richard Raynis and is on the SciFi network 6:30am CST it is a animated version of "Starship Troopers" loosely based on R. Heneiman's original story. Excellent 3D animation killing Bugs, hostile enviroments all experienced by a squad of Marines in power suits. After a particularly taxing day with end users me and my buddys like to settle in to watch this one. Great action and a cool story line. And 40 episodes in the can! Why haven't we heard anything about this before? Who knows why the holloywood doof squad makes any of the decisions they do.
I have been a professional musician since 1981 and have experienced the theivery of the Recording business first hand. Napster and the following wave should eventually beat the hell out of the labels, BUT! It will also hurt the musicians in the so-called farm leagues in the meantime. Direct loss of sales and low scan numbers will force labels to drop acts. So as the playing field levels out hopefully the small guys coming up can outlast the labels huh? Also there is some thought that Napster and the like are a good way of previewing music. I have bought several CD's after downloading a track or two off of a napster site. I say Bring on the CHANGE! and death to the Tyrants!
My dad was on a cell phone sometimes 4 hours a day for work for years since they first came out and he died from a rare glio blastoma brain tumor. I know when you lose a loved one you look for some reason and in your grief too often you look for someone or thing to blame. The insane litagation train not even being addressed here, I can't help but feel that if this was not the cause of my Dads brain tumor it most certainly aggravated the situation.
He will have a new title to add to his existing stellar credits "short eyes" which is prison slang for child molestors. And from what I understand they are not embraced in the system. So he will likely come out of this more dangerous then when he went in. Is it Madison Avenue that encourages this sick behavior or is it our animal past.
