  1. Re:South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut on The Simpsons Movie · · Score: 1
South park: BLU was one of the VERY few movies that caused me to laugh out loud uncontrollably in a theater. I had to see it again because the whole theater was laughing so hard. I missed some jokes and dialogue (yes, it can be called dialogue). Then whenever I knew of a friend going to see it, I made it my buisness to tag along so i could see again. Funny shit. I can't wait for a simpsons movie.

BTW, In the theater I was at, there were people that actually believed it was going to be a wholesome movie they could bring thier kids to. They complained to the movie theater, and they were laughed out of the place (not literally).

I wasn't really into politics and how this country was run for a long time. But thats to the Bush administration, I felt i needed to do something.

When Bush got into office due to some shady politics in florida, I shrugged.

When Bush shit on the Geneva Convention and the UN for his war on Iraq. I got curious.

But when I found out that Bush is driving this country into the ground while lying to our faces, I stood up.

The point of this is that it I stood up because my fellow countrymen and women were being royally fucked, and it became increasingly unacceptable in my eyes. It is the people that sit back and just take it that made this country the way it is today.

I have no clue where you were working, but in NYC, starbucks grunts made $8-$10 starting, with somewhat regular increases as time goes on and your doing your job. This is what i was told when i applied and i have several friends who worked there and had no complaints except that they never wanted to touch coffee again.

Note: This is not to undermine the efforts of Indian buisnesses or thier employees. This is just an account of something that happened to me lately.

I called HP TotalCare because one of my HP laptops died on me and I needed to send it back. This happened over 2 phone calls and each was equally hard.

Each time, they had a canned opening and responses to certain questions, but when I strayed from the task at hand and asked a question, they couldn't answer, or they gave an unintelligable response. I found this quite fustrating because typically in the tech biz, there is a lot of shorthand, abbreviations or even slang that is used commonly to descibe something. I could not do this and found myself struggling to say certain things so he could understand. Not a really a bad thing, but when it comes to support, i would hope that the person on the other line to be dynamic in his understanding.

There is a similar story going on in the streaming media industry. Here is the story.

To sum it up, Acadia holds patents on "streaming, downloading and just about every form of digital audio and video distribution out there--including pushing MP3s from peer-to-peer groups, streaming newscasts from Internet radio sites and delivering movies through cable networks"

Doesn't this seem a little odd?
