And it's generally agreed that Hutton was an absolute white-wash for the government. The real verdict on the sanctimonious sonofabitch, Bliar, will come at the next general election.
yes. i really don't want to change from slackware - it is profoundly satisfying (when its configured proper for your system). It just works.
I tried the 2.6 (easy as fuck to compile on slack)
but had to revert because of my bastard winmodem.
I know I could go out and buy a real modem (i will, i will) but just dumping working kit seems a stupid waste to me.
I upgraded to 2.6.1 a couple weeks back - lost the use of my USB flash memory, sound and cdr. Oh and the winmodem driver was useless with the new kernel. So I had to revert to 2.4...
Lets be fair here - the BBC actually went out on a limb over the Iraq invasion. Day after day the Today news program on radio 4 tried to get some sense out of a parade of British politicians who frankly made themselves look like morons. This goes totally against the grain of every BBC instinct which historically has been - and happy to be - the mouthpiece for the UK establishment. Now that they have been decapitated by Blairs "revenge virus" (Hutton) we are all the poorer.
that's right, touch Sealand and we'll be in Washington by sun-up. The English
yeah , those bastards are brilliant...I use mine every day - better than sex.
aahhhh, lists...pure geek.

Yes, I heard the "acting Director General"- whose name I forget- this morning on Today and jeez, god help us if this snivelling lackey gets the job...
so i'm not the only one with 19 kernel images in /boot ?
didn't there used to be more-or-less command-line completion using F2 and/or F3 keys in old DOS? or am i too stoned?

A poster wishes to let it be known that he is not buying your book.
write microcode.
wrong time of the month, Ms Tauber?
I thought he meant the president of Bhutan.....
oh and to stop it, you would, naturally, hit the start button.... (brilliant post btw)

If it had been written by a linux zealot it would have had an RPM ... and would have not compiled due to an unfilled library dependency...
Excellent riposte sir. I think we should all send them a complaint - but please be gentle with them.
