    Eclipse and Netbeans are extremely good IDE's. I use Eclipse for PHP and BlackBerry Development and use Netbeans for some java development, however they still do not compare to Visual Studio.

    I agree. If we used the current high end 3D games that require the most advanced graphics cards and systems then the simple games found at PopCap and other places would not be so damn popular and addictive. A good game is a good game.

    Assault rifles are designed specifically to kill human beings. Define 'Assault rifle'. What most people define as 'Assault rifles' are merely rifles with cosmetic changes and that does not change the function of the rifles. It was a fairly solid example.

    I know that it is imperative for a programmer to know the industry that they are creating applications for. I work in the the Security Guard industry which has a very specific need in scheduling and that very few vendors even come close to supplying accurate software for that need. I truly doubt that someone half way across the world would know the needs of my industry let alone for my company.
