"That nasty blogging man didn't link directly to the information." Awww, booboo for you. Get that huge chip on your shoulder looked at, mate. The two links I referred to were also entries in my blog, relating events that happened to me. I suppose you would have complained about that anyway.
I've had some experience with photography and interested policemen in the UK...

Have you read any of Bill Thompson's other stuff? He's generally a little too clueless for my liking. I feel he's coming into his IT writing role as a journalist first and a techie second, rather than vice versa, which might be preferable.
The water to wine thing doesn't hold. It's not a commonly held dogma (leaving backwoods ministers from crazyville out) that Christians are given controllable powers.
No, they're just given powers; see the bible. Try drinking poisoning and living, and handling snakes.
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Strangely, many christians are curiously reiticient to try these out. And if they don't buy that part of the bible, why the rest?
Read the actual opinion here - where does it says that the existance of PGP on his computer constituted criminal intent? It doesn't. It says that the existance of PGP "was at least somewhat relevant" but that the other evidence , PGP aside, was enough to convict.
Slashdot is "News for nerds. Stuff that matters." and not "News for ners in the US." It does not have anything american in the title, whereas NY Times obviously is american. And many contributors to slashdot come from outside the US.
[startQuote] Not to mention, the game is far too short. I don't know if I've ever beat a game in my life - if I have, it's only been one. Until Half-Life 2. I beat it in two days, playing about five hours each day.[endQuote] What do you mean, "beat it"? If you buy a game just to race through it as fast as you can - well, I'm not surprised you didn't enjoy it. You're like the guy who turns up to a fancy wine tasting, downs a glass of exquisite and expensive wine in one gulp, and says "is that it?". Well, no, that wasn't 'it', but you were in too much of a rush to notice....
>It's ironic because the feds want to prosecute

>on them.
A pervious precedent was upheld - not ironic at all.
This whole situation is just so 'Alanis', man!

The information is linked to there, but you don't have to access it if you don't want to. Quit whining.

Hint: america is not the only nation in the world.
Instead of Time To Live, packets should be given TTF - Time To Float....
