User privacy protections aren't bad, but the best thing would be for MS to give users the real option of going cloudfree, not nudging users (hard) to cloud-up their personal data.
They supposedly burned Penkovsky alive, but Penkovsky was one of their own operatives who turned and spied for the West. i.e. he was a traitor in addition to a spy. Garden-variety Western spies were more valuable alive, as pawns to exchange for Russian spies.
They are crazy enough to arrest foreigners suspected of spying and exchange them for their own people. (e.g. Maria Butina). This was common during the Cold War.
Anyone who uses a "clown" based product to store sensitive passwords must have a blurred mind. Password managers should be local only. If they need to "stink" with other devices, they can do so locally via WiFi, not "stink" via some random corepiration's "clown."
Except that's not really true any more, at least in countries for which a wall would work. The fertility rate in LatAm and the Caribbean is 2.0, not so different than the US rate of 1.8.
Seriously speaking, I'd be all for a one-child policy (or at least no tax advantages for having > 1 child). We talk about ZPG but we should strive for NPG.
I don't. Confiscate (tax) from the rich to subsidize the poor converting to clean sources of energy. Hell of a lot cheaper than propping up oil dictators and endless war.
The only "slimy" people were the people setting up the red light cameras with too-short yellow-light intervals, thus maximizing the possibility of extracting a fine from innocent drivers, as well as increasing the risk of a rear-end accident. In a just world, they'd be flogged to death in public.
The Arab Oil Embargo was a good thing -- it allowed more efficient Japanese cars to temporarily slaughter the antiquated beasts the US automakers were vomiting onto the roads. It's a shame that oil didn't STAY expensive after the early 80s. We'd probably be driving more electric cars, have more of our railroad network electrified, and we'd have much smaller cars (like in Europe) -- not as many idiots driving huge SUVs and pickups in the suburbs.
Personally, I'd WELCOME another oil embargo or an Iran-Iraq-Saudi war if it puts worldwide oil prices in their rightful place: above $250/bbl.
Portland is "liberal", rest of the state not so much. In fact, it's been known for its racism and intolerance in the past -- it was the only US state that had a law prohibiting Blacks from settling or buying land (until the 1930s).
There should be a distinction between "Engineer" and "Licensed Professional Engineer (in Oregon)." Just like someone licensed to practice medicine in New York can claim to be a physician, but can't practice legally in Oregon.
Look on Google listings especially in less posh areas where people don't have money for the full Apple-store experience.
3. Sell OEM parts to tinkerers who CHOOSE to fix their own hardware. Sort of like most car and computer manufacturers do.
Don't invest in a fund that heavily invests in any one company.
So you should replace your fucking stereo or pay a dealer a hundred $ or so just to get a new key?
Can you charge the phone and use the headphones without a more expensive dongle? No. Then feck off.

How about not collecting the fucking data in the first place? Will Nerdella give people that option?

That and you obviously need a warm body to exchange...

No, he probably won't be. The Russians want someone to exchange for Maria Butina. He's a pawn -- the Russians are good at playing this game.
Not all password managers require "sharing data." Keepass is cloudfree.

I think he was also the equivalent of a licensed PE in Sweden.

Unless they didn't -- he was singled out for abuse because he attacked the state's source of revenue (red-light pig-cameras).

Right -- what does the State of Oregon do about locomotive engineers and marine engineers...
Portland is "liberal", rest of the state not so much. In fact, it's been known for its racism and intolerance in the past -- it was the only US state that had a law prohibiting Blacks from settling or buying land (until the 1930s).
Violation of the constitution gives him the right to sue the board ... hope he fucks them without lube.

Hopefully never -- some of them serve a valid societal function of exposing corruption.
