They are being pushed as a mechanism for adding DRM to the act of reading. The endgame is: no more public libraries. Pay for everything. And the reading public suffers. Reading is the gateway to an education. With reading materials in the control of corporations, it will become much more difficult to obtain and read a sufficiently wide range of material necessary to become an educated citizen. I like how now every thing is in a little box, gamecubes, mac minis, the cube lan party rigs. I would be cool to make a lunchbox that looks like that.
