Thats good news for Consumers. I have been using same services for more then 3 years but I dont want a contract as such. People will continue to use services without contract, Cell phone companies needs to understand that. They need to understand that by forcing people to contract they are not helping (They claim to be customer friendly). On the other hand, It may change business model though. There may not be any Free Phones anymore as Free phone pays for itself during contract period. But good enforcement on the cell phone companies who enforce people to stay with them for 1 or 2 years. We are about freedom, one or two year punishment to stay with company doesn't suite us. Hope other state follow.

Near monopoly of MS Explorer has made itself vulnerable to malicious attacks. As a result Exlorer is more suseptible to virus attach then any other leading browser. But still for a common user there is no reprieve. They continue to use what they got with PC. If your expertise level is little higher or you are engineer (that too computer) you may switch to other browser like Mozilla. Other option is netscape. Spyware industry is thriving on loopwholes of Exlorer.
It is high time for Microsoft to correct Exlorer.
AOL browser is no challage, it is so primitive, sucks lots of memory, I haven't meet anyone who like AOL browser. People who use AOL only use it to connect to internet.
I like Netscape and Mozilla though.
Nice Article, Happy to know improvements are coming. Bye bye spyware...

Well, I dont see much profit people will make out of taking out part of MP3 player that can be used as CFII or for camera's... If you see at ebay, prices for Hitachi CFII (As they call it) is hovering around $130 or so. And MP3 player without storage is selling for $57 or so at amazon.com by individual users. I dont see much gain people will make out of it. The only advantage is that if you use it for yourself, You are getting 4 GB Storage for $200 and you are getting MP3 player for free - that you can run with 512 MB CF (sandisk works fine).

Good Write up, But as you mentioned that user can buy 3 Nomad Muvo by spending $600 (Or less). I noticed prices for $256 CF are around $20 (Posted today on http://www.dealsofamerica.com). Remember these CompactFlash Cards used to be around $100 just couple of years ago. I bought mine for $68 or so last year. So its good to have 12 GB CF, but as of now I dont see big utility. Pocket size MP3 players with 20GB Storage for $200 have virtually diminished the need for a common man to spend so much on this. I am not sure where it will be used (What I am sure if someone will use it thats why they are releasing it)..but its not for me..
