    No, just the fact that in most cases there is no need to abduct... as they could just go buy the kids for $100-$300. Though also abductions happened.

    When something is as broken as it was.. going to other things is hard. Also in most of there countries people would then just have ignored the restrictions and bribed/coerced the offcials or just gotten papers stating something.

    That is the reason most good new programs use interfaces that are very close to the orginal ones.. and only making it better in small ways, so people get comfortable.

    Well.. mostly they were bought, not stolen from their parents.. but slave labor still... and misstreatlement included lack of food.

    The problem was that many kids were bought from their parents in other countries and brought for the races, maltreated with too little food and so on.. to be as low weight as possible.

    That was a horrible practice.

    No... 3000km with the resolution they have does not equate 1,864 miles.. I think there is probably at most 2 significant digits in the 3000. So... 1900 or 2000 miles would likely be much better number. I wonder where they recruit science writers....

    There is a Huge difference in UAE depending if you have to use Etisalat or one of other ISPs, Etisalat blocks/filters/forbids a lot whereas the others do not. (Note that you cannot choose ISP, it depends on your location and in 99% of cases Etisalat, but I know of atleast 3 types of exceptions). And yes, if you use Etisalat connection against the ToS, it may be criminal offence.

    We have a very clear policy: People are allowed to use company time and resources for private purposes if there is a real need. The same way that we expect people to step up and do something even if it requires unpaid overtime when there is real need.

    So someone spending all day chatting with friends about things is in clear violation of this policy, but someone checking in on a sick mother or to arrange something that requires then to call some place "during office hours", is ok.

    17 countries 22 offices... communication solution within company and partners(more than 500 worldwide): Skype.

    End result: Huge savings.

    We could ofcourse have used some other VOIP solution for the actual communication inside the company, but with the large partnernetwork needed a solution that people will be happy to adopt.. as they can use it for other communications too not only with us.

    Thus without that info we do not know how true their statement on change of .28% is... without atleast sample type and error margin this thing is totally useless.. like so much of so called statistics.

    Each test/sample will be a certain size as you cannot sample what everyone on the planet with a computer is using. Thus from the sample and methodology used we get different results. This is the reason that people like professional pollsters give an error margin and sample size and methodology of getting the sample.

    In this case they did none of the above, thus in general one can assume that for the subsection of the market they are using the thing is true, but says nothing at a level that is more precise than +/-X % where X is likely way above the .28% they measured.

    All this is very basic...

    Seems that people really love these stupid statistics.. it really does not matter what the exact Procentages are..

    The big things like if something had 1% 10% to 100% share.. yes those might matter, but is something 11.2% or 11.5% in things like this... totally irrelevant.

    Very simple, companies are not above laws(well not fully anyway, yet).

    Making illegal content available in a country can make you liable in all manner of ways even if the content if physically in another country.

    Though blocking vs. disclaimers about "not allowed to be vievewed in" are a totally different discussion.

    Yes, those are the reasons likely, as they are allready in hot water for including things in the operating system and making more money with subscriptions is allways nice...

    The real question is however: How long until that thing bites them hard like the security problems they had with XP?
