The server is not on Tech's campus right now. It will be moved onto campus when school starts again approximately August 20th. So essentially the server is on a normal cable/dsl line right now. It probably got slashdotted so fast only because every page request has to use a mysql database. The entire site is dynamic.
Obviously there are no Bush supporters signed up yet. Or at least they didn't sign up before the price changed. There are not nearly enough people signed up yet to show a representative value.
