I would believe that, if every second word that Taco typed wasn't spelled wrong. I thought of "AI" when I saw it, but it seemed a little too clever for him to think of.

Well AOL certainly had no problem screwing over everyone with netscape.net accounts when they bought out Netscape and "unified" their user account bases.
And AOL users won where there were conflicts; I lost my netscape.net username as a result.
If you read the comments on the website, it's quite obvious that it isn't being shut down because there is any valid copyright infringment complaint. It's being shut down because they're tired of constantly being harrassed by lawyers claiming copyright infringment.
If enough people hassle you about it, whether they're right or not, sometimes it's easier just to shut it down then fight with them.
Wouldn't that make it "OpenASS"?

I'm just surprised that the horrible grammar and spelling came from the person who submitted the article, and not from Taco.
