When it is implemented, I think we'll be able to fit entire cities on a single dvd. I bet Carmack is already looking at this for use in his next engine, or not...
Well, Sony recently launched the LIBRIe reader. It has a sharp 800*600 screen that uses the relatively new electronic ink technology that is so battery efficient that it will last you through 10,000 pages of text because it only uses electricity when the screen changes.
