Great suggestion. POV-Ray is an excellent way to introduce people to programming concepts *and* to help them visualise those concepts. For example: you could make a loop that generates a line of spheres n units long, then incorporate that into another loop to make an array of spheres, and then to 3-dimensions.
POV-Ray taught me a lot about programming.
I played Guitar Hero for the first time two weeks ago. I was with a group of friends, two of whom play real guitar. It was the first time on the game for everyone there except one guy (not a guitarist). The two guitarists were MUCH better than everyone else. I think it was mainly their left-hand control.
That said, I don't think anyone really believes that GH is training for real guitar playing.
What are the word 'could' and the question mark doing in that headline? Without them, and if this were posted on Talk Like a Pirate Day, it would have been perfectly correct.
... person with a legitimate reason to own a modchip? I am Australian and I bought my PS2 in Australia. I've never owned pirated games or DVDs. This year I moved to Finland and if I want to buy new PS2 games I would have to get a friend in Australia to send them (it's not easy to get online companies to deliver region specific things internationally). Also, I can't watch DVDs I buy here on my PS2. I'm pretty sure I didn't break any laws by moving to Finland, Why am I being punished?

...but that headline made me giggle.

Say goodbye to Pub Trivia.
With two versions of Firefox there will be twice as many opportunities not to use IE. The Open Source market share will double.
Aren't people recognising open source speech well enough already? Perhaps we need to tone down the zealotry.

Thank you so much. I needed a laugh today and your comment hit the spot.
By the way, you owe me a new keyboard, monitor, mouse and dog.
It's in Canadia, between Liverpudlia and Novacastria. I love the funny names that are given to residents of certain cities, they make English fun.
... what would happen if all those Glaswegians actually did fly to New York. I have a feeling it would be much worse than some wasted kilowatt hours.
