Not true. That money was from Terry McAuliffe the Virginia governor who got it from Hillary, and the part from Hillary was much less than a million dollars. According to Newsweek, and I save the article just to debunk these sort of claims, it was only $675,288. Not evidence that it influenced McCabe has ever been release much less proof that McCabe didn't fully investigate Hillary because of it.

Oh, well then, no harm, no foul if it was only a measly ~$700,000 from a DNC political apparatchik. Oh, and ~$300,000 from HRC. That's chump-change, not even worth mentioning! I mean, sure, you could probably hire a contract-killer for less, but human life is cheap! There's no way that tiny amount of pocket change could influence somebody being paid those luxurious government wages.

    Just, wow.

I'm on the conservative/libertarian end across from you. I did not vote for Trump. I think he's an egotistical asshole with no fixed ideological principles of his own to speak of, has no filters between his emotions and his mouth, and doesn't know when it's best to keep said mouth shut.

  4. Jury nullification can be used to allow offenses to go unpunished. It has been used in the past to allow racist murderers to go unpunished, leaving the victims' families with no recourse for justice.

It has also been used in the past to prevent racist prosecutors/DAs/courts/judges from wrongly convicting people based on race. It has been used to prevent ACLU civil rights activists in the Deep South in the '60s from being wrongly convicted & imprisoned as well as wrongly used as you've stated. It cuts both ways. Being that the vast majority of people (and thus potential jurors) in the US are basically good and fair-minded, jury nullification serves to do far more good than bad on balance.

Personally I think it would be a great idea to post flyers all around the local area near court buildings explaining jury nullification to educate the public and potential jurors.

So far after all this time & tax money spent on this fishing expedition, nothing of any substance has been linked to Trump. The local police mass-spying on cellphones is still a technical possibility that hasn't yet been demonstrated.

Well, except for all those court cases where "Stingray" evidence was dropped from the case when defense lawyers attempted through the discovery process to learn exactly how police were using this technology and what it's capabilities were. A Google search brings up plenty of examples.

And there's no technical way that Google/FB have your phone tapped unless you install their apps.

That's not been proven. Even if true that's only true for now. It may not be true in 5 or 10 years, especially if people don't start taking action to halt the destruction of privacy now and AI is employed to help in the destruction of personal privacy.

Well, as long as they haven't nuked my '80s retro videos, then I'm good. Ah, Leah!

It's quite possible now to place individuals and groups into internet "algorithm ghettos". Like the Nazis did to Jews in Poland by crowding them into a section of the city and erecting tall walls both to prevent escape and so the people outside the walls didn't see what went on inside, companies like Google, Facebook, and others can place individuals and groups into a digital algorithm ghetto where what they can access is controlled & filtered and what they publish/post/send can be filtered or blocked such that you'd have no way to tell nobody could actually see what you uploaded even to your own website, especially with a well-trained AI tasked with the job. If you call a friend to ask them to verify it the AI will know who you know and listen/monitor the call/message and make it visible to him so you remain unaware that the greater web doesn't know you exist.

This is an extremely dangerous time where how we react or don't right now to control these technologies and the governments and corporations that use them will have very serious and long-lasting consequences for many generations to come around the world.

The costs are mostly because of all the R&D and the need to recover those costs and the costs of the decades of federally required testing, although a significant fraction is also because of government over-regulation along with the obligatory barriers to entry to shut out new competition set up by lawmakers for their lobbyist buddies. The ACA has also contributed greatly to recent cost increases. Why not raise your prices if the law says people must buy what you sell to not be a criminal?
