Unfortunately, here in the US, we would probably have to pay people to take our politicians.

The company is misinformed... From the article:

I have held in my hand 28 layer PCBs. Now if they said it was 20 signal layers, not including ground and power planes, so it would be more like 40 to 50 layers, now that would be something.

However I give them full props for the thinness and the printing technology.

You make good points, but even in MN it still only costs around $100/sqft for a frame house. I wonder if the cost per sqft was increased by the loss of construction efficiency by building such a small house.

Which recession was this that he turned around? The one that started after he entered office?

I think you are missing the point. See the article here: http://slate.msn.com/id/2076134/

An excerpt: Did the economy go into recession because President Bush came into office? Of course not. Had Al Gore become president, would the economy have entered a recession in March 2001? Certainly. In hindsight, it's clear we were heading for a recession in late 2000. President Bush caught the wrong end of the business cycle.

A woman I know bought a laptop at BestBuy a few years ago. Spent about $2400 and purchased the service plan. For her $200 she got two new batteries and, only weeks before the plan expired, she got a brand new $2400 laptop. She had brought it in to have a display issue fixed and they said they could not fix it. So they gave her credit for the full original purchase price towards the purchase of a new one. As was mentioned before, there were some hassles and a fair amount of paperwork.

I'm not claiming that the plan is always worth it, but in this case it paid off.

Let me make an obviously bad, but fun, analogy: If you expect the fire department/paramedics to help you in the event of a car crash, a GPS tracking device in your car is not too much to ask. If you expect the police to help you if you are ever mugged, then video surveillance on every street corner is not too much to ask.
