I'm with you there. I installed that about a week ago, thinking it would be less annoying than the command-line, but maybe not really up to the level of Nero or whatever. Man, was I wrong. K3B has set a standard that all KDE/Gnome apps should strive for.

I personally have never run into a wiki that has information that detailed. Mostly it's very general, completely uninformative junk.

Take a look at this entry for KDE.

Utterly useless for pretty much anything. It's also not very unbiased: "And believe me, it still is Kool, now more than ever with the new KDE 3.2, which offers its users plenty of eye candy." While I agree with that statement, it has no place in something that's supposed to be "informative." It sounds more like a sales pitch.

I don't get the fascination with wikis. I haven't found them to be very useful at all. They always seem to be like reading through sales brochures.

You misunderstood me - I mean, you do not talk about a pending lawsuit in public. Any information he gives out could be used against AutoZone by SCO's lawyers. Haven't you ever seen people who were involved in a trial say, "my attorney has advised me not to discuss that in public"?

Why is this guy speaking out about this in public?! That is the LAST thing he should be doing under the circumstances. Anyone should know that. You get sued - do NOT give details of the case in public.

I like this giant leap he takes between "it's costing Munich more than they had expected to switch to Linux" to his version, "Munich is finding out that it's more expensive to run Linux than Windows."

The point is, it's costing more than they thought, that doesn't mean it's costing more than it would cost to use Windows.

Nice spin there, Steve. I wonder why people don't trust you?
