but iTMS isn't selling to those outside (maybe Canada, I'd have to check)
nope, Apple doesn't sell up here in Canada. We get to browse the iTunes store and listen to music samples but not actually buy anything, but then again, up here music downloading is legal so were not begging for it.
Health Insurance doesn't suck, if its paid for by the govenment. Here in Canada we enjoy free healthcare, if you go to see your doctor about it your insurance company will never know, and you wont have to pay. You also aren't stuck going to certain doctors, there's only one insurance company.
I am not entirely certain how it is done but using magnetisim it is possible, it is commonly use in medical places where power needs to be transferred to somthng inside the body. Asking a doctor you know that does surgury might reveal some answers.
In Canada you can get a Victor (I think, anything designed to play DAISY talking books should work though) talking book player from the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind), www.cnib.ca (you can get the same players from others in different countries). While they are designed for talking books they also play audio CDs, they are designed for people that are completely blind so they have VERY large buttons that are all shaped differently. If she is legally blind you may be able to get one for free.

At the grocery store I recently found a package of Taramisiu and it said DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN, on the bottom (bit late isn't it?).
