  1. Big Brother on Homeless to be Implanted with Subdermal RFID Tags · · Score: 1

Well the first thing that struck me is that it says "Windows NT" and "realtime" in one sentence. Only after a while I realised that this is the first step towards BigBrother (the George Orwell version "1984" to be understood correctly).
What's next? Automatic log file generation for all our speech?

  2. It's not the right question. on Broadband Access Leading to Internet Breakdown? · · Score: 1

Not the increase of bandwidth malware, spammer and other buggers can use that will lead to a breakdown.
The misconceptions of the basic structure of the internet in the past are all it needs (see SMTP which does not include any security measures).
The problem emerges just now since it obviously brought us to a point where there is no other way than to solve them.

  3. Is this usefull? on Steam Update Shows FPS Gamer Stats · · Score: 1

The stats are very nice, but is it really usefull to have them be real-time? They could collect the data and then show it later in a resume. This way they wouldn't have overloaden once again their servers... I'm starting to ask myself if they actually know how much bandwidth and hardware they have at hand for this kind of operations? They continually keep on overloading them, and then they say that they are victim of a massive DDos...

  4. Vehicles rule on Unreal Tournament 2004 Goes Gold · · Score: 1

Yep the vehicles are a cool addition but they make it necessary to play in very big maps (see ons_torlan...) and therefore they aren't as detailed as the UT2003 ones.

Another thing I really don't like about UT2004 are the assault levels:
They are *cool* but they seem as if it's a race and not the old defender-attacker thing I know from other games.

  5. Who needs this on Banryu, Robot Or Dragon? · · Score: 1

    Really I don't get it:
Who does really need this big, expensive (and ugly) bit of hardware, when they can hack their toasters to do more than this beast?
