It takes a while for the mirrors to sync. Same thing happens when Microsoft releases new updates too every patch Tuesday. 2.7G files can't be copied instantaneously.
Has the DVD iso for x86. I'd feel bad about posting a url to a mirror site if this one didn't have 2gbit/sec bandwidth!

The Longest Yard DVD has ArccoS copy protection on it.
Google it for more info.
That's right, another copy protection scheme using bad blocks to prevent copying.
One of my friends back in college had a 20th Anniversary Mac that he treasured, but he suspected his roommate was using his computer while he was gone during the day at classes and work. Being the nerd he was, he borrowed a bunch of equipment from the lab he worked in and hid a tiny camera aimed at the computer along with a VCR recording in SLP. He managed to record his roommate wacking off to porn in front of his computer. He spent hours cleaning off his keyboard with rubbing alcohol and q-tips.
I ported my cell number from AT&T to T-mobile a few weeks ago, partly because I heard that T-mobile will unlock phones. Unfortunately, when I called, I was told that you have to be a customer for 90 days before they will unlock your phone - not in time for my european trip.
You can find Redhat 9 rpms of the 2.6-test series at http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.5/RPMS.kernel/. There are also rpms for all the necessary packages that the 2.6 kernel requires. I've tried out 2.6test4 on my machine and it works quite well.
An example would be the people running for sherriff. If you are unaware of the candidates for that office, you may vote for someone who is being paid off by drug dealers and such. It's
hard to know all the candidates that you want to elect. Some people do research before they vote, but the majority do not, and simply vote for names by political party, or even
randomly. I once voted for someone because he had a funny name (Dick Wood or something like that) but I knew nothing of the guy and can't remember what office he was running
for.
This is why having a "none" or "no choice" on the ballot is a good idea. If you think you are unimformed, just vote for "none". I left several choices blank because I had no idea who the candidates were (local judges and such).
Sure, government will restrict our freedom less in a libertarian world, but who will fill that power gap left, when the government has less influence over the people?
CORPORATIONS!
Replace Gov't censorship with corporate censorship.
Do you really want Walmart decides what CDs should be widely available? They are the number 1 seller of CDs already.
So now, the only way we can influence those that control our lives the most (corporations) is by being smart consumers.
Pretty much libertarianism replaces the vote as a mean of change with the almighty $$$Dollar$$$, which means the rich still will have the greatest say.
And this is why I'm voting for Nader
Jesse Ventura also used the internet to raise awareness and funds. He really used and understood "interactive" media. In class Jon Katz said he thinks we minnesotans have some passion for third party politics. No, we mostly just like common sense and reason.
Of course the joke around here was the trailer parks were emptied on election night when Ventura was elected. But seriously he did reach the common people very well, and they got out and voted.
Unfortunately, the grass root efforts in the third parties seems to be pretty weak, although the Green party is probably going to do fairly well here in minnesota, a traditionally liberal state.
Personally, I believe the time is ripe for political reform, with tech savvy Gen Y reaching majority, the next 12 years is going to be VERY interesting.
Actually, I was equally revolted at how the writer actually reinforced the typical stereotypes of women. It was disturbing. I groaned in disgust a few times reading it.
Isn't all that great. I'm a guy and I'm in a student organization for women in the engineering and science disciplines. The only major difference are that the social skills of women geeks tends to be greater. It's actually one of the best run student organizations on a campus of over 30,000 students, organizing several large events a year, and has an active outage program for girls and young women in primary and secondary education.
These women also tend to pay little attention to what women are 'supposed' to do. They often comes from families where one or more of the parents have a career in the sciences or technology. They probably have little familiar pressure to be 'normal' girls and have the freedom and exposure to explore things that lead to interest in science and technology.
What point am I trying to make? It's exposure to technology at a young age that make the difference. I believe that many of the male geeks first got interested in computers as young boys because of the video games. Girls, howevery, don't usually have this exposure or interest in computers at a young age, for reasons I'm not quite sure of, although several of the female geeks I know do like video games a lot.
I got a bad feeling when I read that article, it just seems like the writer is saying that women and men are very different, where I don't see that much of a difference. and no, I'm not a boyfriend of any of the members of that student organization of which I have spoken.
In relationship, it's very important for each person to understand and accept the other persons's passions in life, whether they are computers, sports, art, or whatever.
Usually when I date someone, I like to learn more about what they like. It shows interest in them, and I know I liked it when someone I dated actually installed linux and started to run it.:)
Forget it. The only way to get a Rage 128 working is with the framebuffer support in kernel 2.{2,3}.x + XF_FBDev. It's slow, tricky to setup, and only 60Hz. but it works. The Mach 64 server does NOT work. Go to http://www.0wned.org/~cain/ragefury.htm for the frame buffer stuff. ATI contacted me when I emailed them about this. they will be supporting XFree86 on this (rage 128 support) and mentioned 3D support is in the works too.:)
just got even more appropriate.:-) I couldn't resist. I think that TMBG and other music groups who are willing to take the risk of release mp3 albums will find themselves very happy. A amateur musicain friend of mine would never had gotten the audience he has if it wasn't for mp3's and sites like Mp3.com
Well, I for one would like to find someone who understand my passion for computers and geeky things. She doesn't need to be my equal or greater than. Not that that wouldn't be nice. I think I good example would be our open source hero Alan Cox and his wife I'm not sure I'd document my life on the web though. But it makes for very interesting reading.:-)
Good luck where ever life brings you.
Thanks and farewell

DRI is not only full screen, it also supports rendering in a window. I've seen it with my own eyes in XFree4.0 with my Voodoo 3 2000.
