How weird. You'd think they'd use the same code for each category, in order to make a valid comparison... ...or if they did that, they'd post youtube videos properly reflecting that!
I dislike single sign-on because there are services for which I want multiple accounts. If those services don't let me make a l/p with them, I have to log in and out of multiple facebook or gmail accounts to make it happen, which disrupts all my other browsing activities.
If there's a site where I want a business persona and a party persona, I should be able to just make two accounts and call it a day.
Wait, so are you agreeing or disagreeing with him? You say he's right twice, then you say he's wrong, all the while exemplifying that you're not the typical English speaker he's referring to, presumably with the intent of disproving him. Make up your mind!
Oh, never mind. I just saw the threat of violence at the end; I see logic was not your goal, nor indeed within your approach:)
1) As others have pointed out, not all humans are on Facebook. I'm sure the FB researchers would be hard-pressed to believe that, though.
More importantly,
2) The "six degrees" is supposed to be the MAXIMUM linkage between any two people -- not the average. Good job disproving something nobody ever claimed, guys!
I've only ever done the slots thing once... I was in line for a Vegas buffet with my girlfriend and her family, and her little sister (not quite 21) handed me a quarter to play for her. I picked a machine, dropped the coin, and brought her back a handful of quarters. She picked one out of the pile and handed it to me, and I went and repeated the feat. We did this 5 or 6 times, before the line was up and we went in to eat. Not sure I should ever touch a slot machine again, after that run!
They're still using awkward wording. Neither the computer on the plane nor the computer the pilot is sitting in front of runs Windows. In the same trailer, there are also several machines used for data analysis that DO run Windows, and are the only place this malware (virus? worm? trojan? I never could keep them straight) could possible have taken hold.
Also, the "credentials" in question are video game registration keys. Good luck finding many of those on these workstations!
Nope. The planes and the ground stations that control them both use environments other than OS X or Windows. There are, however, also some data analysis workstations that sit in the same trailers as the Pilot bay, that happen to run Windows.
Incidentally, you have the salt thing backwards. The meatier the opinion, the more salt it takes to season or preserve it. Which is, of course, kind of the whole point of taking something with "a grain" of salt -- "sure, I'll take your opinion, but it isn't even worth wasting a dash on". So taking the pundits' articles with a full shaker of salt implies you're planning on living off their opinions for a good while to come!
We can only hope
Go home, RMS; you're drunk!
Nice factoid about factoids. But, by your own link, the word has come to be used also to refer to "true but useless facts" -- like this one!

He also seems to think there is a dichotomy between "Intelligent" and "poor"...

Experienced programmers know the ENEMY'S network is down.
I've been using these for years -- they meet all your criteria, the ink lasts a long time, dries quickly, doesn't readily smear... Two drawbacks: people love them and keep stealing mine, and the clip is weak so I keep breaking them off. Nothing a little tape can't fix! You keep referring to The Proprietary Suite as if you're used to writing documents comparing it to open alternatives. "TPS Reports", if you will.
Gentlemen, I give you the century's supply of good old H2O we USED to have!

Dude. NOT cool; way too soon.
So do good ones.

Yes, magnets. They did the math already.
How are you defining "practical"? Remember we're already talking about a $60,000,000,000 project

One link says 50-70 times faster, and the other says 50-70 percent faster.
Does anyone actually feel like watching the video to see what the claim is?

Yes. To simplify the math, assume the pancake is a sphere...

That's also where you'll be launching all your applications from...

Lame.
Sorry, did you just say you only expect four hours from your phone? Out of curiosity, what brand do you have? (So I know to run the heck away from it)
