Wow, I'm in the exact opposite position, I do photography but mainly the technical portion of it, (Digital Asset Management, Color Management, Photoshop, Shooting and etc.) and have always loved working with computers, whether building, networking or what not.
I'd be interested in starting a career possibly in IT but not sure if it's worth the hassles I read about.
