The correct type of respirator, and taking into consideration the material you are working with are not particularly complicated.
Myself, no way I'd want to contaminate the interior of my home with ultra fine fiberglass and epoxy dust. I solder in my lab inside, but I have ventilation ducting directly outside.
Most solvents I work with, they get used in the garage, not inside, where I sleep and eat.
Sawdust is far less dangerous and fine than fiberglass epoxy dust, and I don't even allow any of that indoors.
