No, the whole story is a lie. The ISP that got the money from USAID has commercialized the WIFI and have put a price of 2$ for every 100MB... the name of the ISP is OnNet and the owner of the company Peter Cemerikic (of bosnian descent), is very well known for his criminal activities. Sadly, corruption still blooms in Macedonia, and people like Cemerikic are allowed to to walk free and spread lies instead of being behind bars (and waking by his new found boyfriend Earl).
So, no, Macedonia is far from free WiFi, and far from anything free as long as the politicians are corrupted and judistical system still sleeps.
I am from Macedonia. Here, we are paying 60$ for 384/128 ADSL connection and that's the best offer in the country. Other ISP's are losing touch with reality, there is one WiFi operator (OnNet to be precise) which thinks that 25$ for 1GB is ok. I had to sell my kidney for this month. Well, November is coming, and I come to think what should I sell next to pay my bills...
Actually it was a joke.
Anyway, people are frustrated that ordinary pakistan people who have families blow themselves up for no apparent reason (except the religious one). Judging from the bbc news stories, the bombers were never fundies, their families also, one of them had little baby and nice life... so the question is what keeps 10 year old Microsoft Certified Professional girls from commiting such an act in the future?
It was a good joke anyway...
Well done to Arfa and her father. I hope she becomes a very competent member of the software development community. We can all hope she discovers the wonders of open source though...... either that or she will blow herself up in some european subway.
Some companies downloads just one copy of Firefox and then everyone in the company installs that one copy... at least my company (30+ people) does it to save bandwidth. I bet that that many other companies use the same practice.
Well, the problem is that you don't live here to see what is OnNet doing. Things are not like they seem.

Actually it's already being done by Ten Masked Men. They make death metal covers of famous mainstream hits. "Cry Me A River" cover is my favorite. \m/

That's one good argumented nitpicking.
Isn't it the way eMule works?
