An old lady muttered at my as I strode around her in a bank lobby years ago, "You will be old some day". When your hips wear out, 6 kph is a pretty good pace. So, yeah, you will be old some day.
I live near Jacksonville, Fl and followed this on the local news. The "cafes" seem to be highly profitable. The state could just take over operation of them. More revenue for the state and people will gladly give it to them. They could sell lotto tickets for even more money.
Have you ever employed someone? You have to have a federal ID to make out their W-2s. If you work for yourself you are still going to file as a business to so you can deduct your expenses. You can't hide, just pay up.
Yep, the one in my podunk town does. Almost every adapter and cable connector you can think of. Maybe stores in big metropolitan areas really just sell cell phones and have found out that their customers are to dumb to actually need a electronic PART.
Is it a pain in the ass to figure shipping cost to every address in the United States? I'm sure the shipping companies will be subject to the same taxes and will have a data base covering every address they ship to. Every taxing authority submits taxes due for the addresses it covers. These taxes are printed on the shipping manifest. You collect the tax (with a little bit extra for your trouble). If the customer has an issue with taxes collected they have to take it up with the taxing authority, not you.
You do know that "subsidized oil" is used to manufacture and transport solar collection equipment. If we devoted our entire GNP to making solar cells for the next ten years we couldn't make enough to replace fossil fuels and we would need to burn twice what we use now to just to try. Now if everyone tried to live the same lifestyle as the average 19th century homesteader (the 10% who didn't starve or freeze when oil was banned) it might work. Are you planning on being a homesteader, or dead?
Many automatics have eight speeds, most have overdrive and locking torque converters. Mileage is within a few percent of a manual. Most American cars used to have high torque engines that required a robust clutch with a strong spring on the clutch pedal. New cars have small, low torque engines, but few Americans can drive a stick so most cars are still sold with automatics. Our low gas prices make the automatic penalty bearable.
I think you have that backwards. A diesel nozzle is larger than an unleaded nozzle. You can put gas in a diesel, but not diesel in a gas vehicle, unless it's an old car built before unleaded gasoline was introduced. The small unleaded nozzle was first used when gas stations sold both leaded and unleaded gasoline. The lead would screw-up the catalytic converter on the unleaded car.
For drugs the special interest group includes those who have a condition not helped by current medicines. Some of the income from domestic sales funds research on new drugs. If you want all drug R and D funded by the tax payers and drug patents abolished I'm with you. All I take is over the OTC drugs so I don't care if any new ones are developed. I always find it amazing that only American companies can develop useful drugs. To bad India and China can't develop anything useful, drug prices would drop by 90%.
In the IN-organic fertilizer mix were small crystals of potassium chloride (the K in N-P-K). I would just pop a few in my mouth. They were like a salty snack.
To me potassium chloride taste less salty with a slight metallic after taste. In my farming days I used to pick small chunks of potassium chloride out of the fertilizer I was spreading and suck on them.
I first typed in the snide remark, "Speak for yourself". Than I thought a bit and realized that stupid people are paid to breed while smart people have few or no offspring. My collage professor daughter and my lawyer son do not and are not going to have children. My other daughter and her husband are waiting until they can afford their own home before starting a family. I will never have grandchildren so yes, we as a nation are getting stupider.
We should charge China with spying using all those GPS units they send here, not counting the cell phones that also have a GPS chip. Embargo all of them.
A new GE unit cost less than $200. The membrane last 5 years and cost less than $50. The conditioning filters cost $40 and last 6 months. Well worth it.
No where in my bible is any reference to Christians meddling in the affairs of the general population. Christ told the Pharisees to render unto God what is God's and unto Caesar what is Caesar's. It's all or nothing, either God created the universe as describe in Genesis or there was a scientific big bang. I think God created all those little (and big) fossils to give paleontologist something to do but proving it does seem to be problematic.
Two words, toll roads. Orlando, Fl has them. I just spent four days visiting Disney World. Using the toll road to avoid downtown Orlando I saw more new housing being built. It was a 36 mile trip and I was already in Orlando when I started!
What if no one advertised? How would we know what to buy and where to find what we needed? Do you think a web search would work? Or how about driving around until you see a store that might have what you need? I wonder how much Progressive insurance pays per policy holder for all those commercials. At least make advertising a non tax deductible expense.

I bet Intuit could do it. They have a few years experience dealing with tax collection systems.
Maybe tax jurisdictions could just create a Facebook page. Every change would be tracked on their timeline.

For me PV system would take ten years to brake even, if I had a subsidized loan. I have no tax liability so a tax credit is useless.

How often do you leave the Eden you live in to visit our benighted society? And how do you get here without using any nasty oil?
I want a solar panel (several actually, and a battery bank) so my electric water pump and refrigerator still works when mains power stops.

I use well water and my first one lasted over five years. Chlorinated water will reduce the life of the membrane.

What if you don't like what they show? What do they care if no one watches, they get your tax money anyway.
