While Mr. Brown certainly has found an unusual albeit geeky medium for literary expression, I doubt that he has uncovered a new genre. In 1994, Chronicle Books published "Gryphon and Sabine" by Nick Bantock. I submit that this work of fiction was the first epistolary novel.
