Hey moron, the Telcos are not a government mandated monopoly. In many Cities they are a franchise. They strike exclusive deals with the city. That means in exchange for NO COMPETITION in the city, they promise to have reasonable rates, service the entire area, and privide a franchise fee.
The Telcos pushed for the exclusivity not the government.
I mean wow. That has to be the dumbest statement so far. New ideas come from LEARNING. It does matter of if confirms or disproves an idea. The act of investigation, asking the question and trying to understand it, is what gives rise to new discoveries. Not, proving something wrong.
What? You have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously go read the "God Particle" by Leon Lederman to understand the history.
Your accusations of the scientists that have conducted this research for centuries is simple obtuse. They weren't fanatics trying to protect failed ideas. They were in search of an answer. This search lead them down blind allies and tangents. But research, always corrected them and put them on the right path.
The Standard Model has held up well but many question its complexity. The particle family has grown quite large. So many wondered if there is a more fundamental particle lurking beneath the Quarks and Leptons. So far nothing conclusive.
Ummm yes. That's the point. You really need to research this. In order to find particles you need certain energy levels to smash protons and anti-protons together. The resulting debris from the collision is captured with these special measure devices. The debris trail shows you particles from the collision and from this you can determine if you saw a Higgs Boson. The problem is you begin to need higher and higher energy levels. The Higgs Boson needs a very high energy level to begin to see it, something around 20 TeV. So if you don't see it at 7 TeV, it does not mean it does not exist. If you don't see it at 20 TeV, then you have a problem because the models say you should see it at that energy level.
If the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) didn't find it, we could almost say it doesn't exist. But unfortunately we never built it.
7 TeV (LHC) is too small to say there is no Higgs Boson. 20 TeV, which the SSC would have had, would be ample to say definitively there is no Higgs Boson.
So far the Standard Model is proved VERY successful. The Standard Model predicted monopoles. No one believed that was correct and then recently they discovered monopoles! So the Standard Model has a long track record of being correct. The problem is our technology is not sufficiently powerful enough to est all its predictions. It will take time.
Hey douche bag, this is the State government not a local government. If Alaska can't handle a simple request like this then they have some serious problems.
FYI 25,000 pages of text is nothing. But you don't need to put them all in one file.
"She and top aides were known to communicate using private email accounts. Perez said Palin gave the state a CD with emails from her Yahoo account, and other employees were asked to review their private accounts for emails related to state business and to send those to their state accounts."
And Microsoft doesn't give a flying fig about that. You can't buy XP anymore and you can't get XP load on computers anymore. Microsoft has pulled XP from the market and has stopped support. XP market share is dropping. There aren't any new computers that can't run Windows 7. 7 will run on the same machine as Vista. So seriously how old is your computer!
It's just a matter of time. You have a 6 year time difference between XP and Vista; 8 years with 7. That's alot of market share to end in 2 years since the release of 7. Then you have recession and now people aren't upgrading as quickly.
Don't be mistaken. Microsoft dumped XP as soon as Vista was out the door, it just took them LONG TIME to get Vista out the door. Microsoft didn't keep XP going for love of their users and they certainly didn't like it when users didn't run out and upgrade to Vista.
So spare me the Microsoft care for the users bull shit.
Hate to say it but it works. I have used it for several years and based on your requirements it would be a perfect fit. It can store several types of documents in document libraries tagged with meta data. You can create views on the meta data with the document libraries. You can perform full text and meta data searches. It has out of box workflows and can create complex workflows with developer tools.
It has alot of what you would need. It also is not cheap. Sharepoint Services or Sharepoint Foundation is free (part of the server software) but the advance features will require licenses.
Because that's not a proper document management solution. Directories/Folders are not a substitute for documents tagged with meta data. Not too mention you can't create views.
What specific file types can't you load? I have used Sharepoint 2007 since it rolled out and you can load any file type you want. There are no restrictions. We have non Office documents loaded in document libraries as well as Office libraries.
Sharepoint would do what you are looking for but the advanced features will cost you.
Oh stop with the "I am not a Palin defender" then go on to defend Palin. Your true colors are showing.
Seriously, she got it wrong. Get over it. Just admit she is a stupid twat and be done with it. Stop trying to edit WikiPedia to make history match what some stupid idiot wrote.

The biggest douche bags that money can buy.
And it has absolutely nothing with large media corporations buying up local newspapers and media outlets. No nothing to do with that.
moron.
You're an idiot. Seriously, first class idiot.

You know no matter how much you want it, she's still not going to give you that hand job you've been dreaming about.
So when are you leaving the country?
Except it is surprising to make people come and get the copies! FOIA requests are sent to the individuals who make them.
Moron

As opposed to win Microsoft uses the term "Cloud."
Nice one zippy.
Complete bull shit!
But I guess being a Microsoft troll the truth doesn't matter.
FYI Microsoft is using their own dubious patents to sue Android.
Lindows, Android, Apple. You might actually want to do some research.
No they're not but then I didn't expect that you actually followed the lawsuit and understood the details of the case.
i4i is not a patent troll. you'd know that if you'd bother to read.
Yeah it's *THIS* decision that's going to make Microsoft use software patents even more.
moron.
Yeah all 3 developers.
