  1. So you're saying you are a blithering idiot. Got it.

  2. So you're saying you're an ass-hole. Thanks for clearing that up.

  3. Single versus multi threaded. AMD is hampered by the fact it is optimized for multi-threaded apps and Intel is for single threaded. Most apps are single threaded - hence why Intel performs better. Overall numbers weren't that impressive. More to the point in the real world would you notice a difference. Probably not.

AMD is coming out with a new processor architecture next year. So yes Virginia it is happening. Problem is Intel's capex spending is down and the market is favoring mobile devices, so the PC market is bit of an after thought.

  6. Mediocrity rules!

You can stop the current performance is good enough crap because as soon as Intel can figure out a faster processor you will be singing Intel's praises for producing a faster processor.

Intel has hit a wall. Period. They can't do 10nm with their current fabrication process. They'll have to follow IBM if then want to go smaller. They are unwilling to do 4Ghz Quads because they consume energy and produce heat and they won't bother with 8 cores for the same reasons. That's why you have piddly 3 GHz processors that can be "over-clocked." Just fucking put out a damn processor that can do 4GHz and be done with it because frankly people are looking for 5GHz!

  7. Sad but true. You're paying for some pretty pathetic performance.

You're a idiot. STEM = Science, Technology (not computer science), Engineering and Math. That's what STEM stands for. It's a marketing buzzword, nothing more. It used to be you wanted people to focus on math and the sciences. Technology never meant computer science. Technology was applied science. Coders are normal today not because, as you put it, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers write programs. Write scripts is really funny. They've been doing this stuff since the '50s. Ever heard of FORTAN. You have limited knowledge of what people in the sciences do. Coders are normal today because of WEB DEVELOPMENT. Any jackass can do it. So you see a proliferation of coders. Computer Science is not fundamental as to require it to be part of a high school curriculum. FYI there isn't a shortage of compute programmer, coders or STEM graduates.

What they typically might do is use special computer programs for their work.

Technology does not encompass computer science. It encompasses Technology, things like Robotics, not whether or not you know .NET.

Just stop this bullshit. This is nothing more than a give away to software corporations to peddle their ways and get Congress to increase H1B Visas.
