$10 curtains block the light just as well as $200 curtains.. but people still buy the $200 curtains.

Since you are using curtains as examples and since this is slashdot and everyone here posts something that goes off on a tangent of the parent post...

Real slashdotters would use blackout cloth for curtains since we don't care about design, we care about the purpose of a curtain and how geeky can the curtain be. If a curtain is to block light, then we must have the best "block light" curtain (think linux for curtains? :P)... in our case this is blackout cloth. (If you don't know about blackout cloth, the DIY projection scene makes large (>50") screens with this)

I'm not an HTML expert or anything, but roughly how much does myspace.com weigh?

    According to my googlebot:
    [07:10:08] !google myspace
    [07:10:10] [Google] #1 Myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/ ) size: 20k
[07:10:12] [Google] Desc: Meet people from your area in the country and keep in touch. Includes blog, forums, email, groups,...

20k if you consider myspace has "weight."

Does all the matter of a black hole bleed off as X-Ray radiation? Or is all of it just folded up into the singularity, which should be theoretically impossible to get to since spacetime is infinitely warped around it?

Could the "big bang" have occurred when a singularity in another universe isolated itself and folded into this dimension? Could the whole universe be a spacetime bubble? Stuff to think about...

If I were high right now your post would be awesome to try to expound on.

  4. Re:*sigh* Dell on Equipment Suppliers You Can Trust? · · Score: 1

Odd, I'd say my last Dell part ordering experience was rather disheartening. I needed to get two top casings replaced on two different laptops (not under warranty). I call support, go through the loops and get referred to their parts phone number (I couldn't find it online or I would of called it direct). I call and tell them what I need, after a few minutes I get the we have this in stock and the other we don't. I ask when they will have them instock, he says I don't know and hangs up on me.

For a minute I was confused with what happened but it did leave a bad taste about Dell with me.

From the crumbs you make a "microchip" which helps with the zoom functions.

I remember back in the day playing this game with 6 people online (via ipx) and it being one of the best multiplayer experinces I've ever had (even with all the lag, the netcode was rather horrid).

I remember getting clashing with another player who had the gang powerup. I whipped out my flamethrower and managed to keep him at bay... but another player ran us both over but his victory was short lived as I set his car on fire and he exploded shortly thereafter...

Also, the MP maps are very small, which help add to the frenzy.
