  1. Re:Kill the entire H1B program on Disney Replaces Longtime IT Staff With H-1B Workers · · Score: 0

C'mon it's mean to deny those poor Mexicans scaling fences and traipsing across rape ambush deserts so they have the honor of doing your drywall and picking your onions but when another group actually comes here legally and given a job it's all hey no that's corporate abuse! Do you guys even listen to your own words?

  2. You're statement that the death penalty "will have no effect on whether a murder will happen or not" is flawed when your only example is the person who committed murder despite the death penalty. How about those who didn't kill because there is a death penalty attached to that action? Is it unreasonable to believe that someone would cease actions towards murder after contemplation of the consequences? Have innocent people been put to death? Probably, the statistics alone assume there are going to be those, but also it is easily believed that the threat of a death penalty has saved lives as well, a grim balance perhaps.

Population is at most plateaued if not reducing and has been for quite awhile, the one exception being heavily muslim countries. The US is barely at replacement rate, nearly all of Europe has been reducing dramatically and many places are at what's called lowest-low, from which no culture has ever survived. Basically you can kiss the French and Italians good bye. There may be french and italians later on but in name only, their DNA won't know what a baguette or ravioli is and they'll speak arabic as a second (it'll be second at least at first) language. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/61/WorldPopulation.png Perhaps your still thinking of the hysteria of the late 70's and forgot to update your knowledge rolodex =)

I don't know why your interpretation is scored insightful, all anyone can do is tell someone else your best guess on how long anything could take. Based on that information from you and others the manager can then tell his boss how long it will take. Managers manage people not things, the assertion a manager needs to know everything his subordinates know is ridiculous, and actually can hurt in the long run. Because if he's better at it then you he will always wonder why the hell your so slow at it.

  5. Re:Actions like these distinguish the system on FBI Raids Home of Suspected NSA Leaker · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Leakers are not whistleblowers, I applaud the fact that they are going after these people. The same side showing their phony shock faces about desk jockey Valerie Plame being "outed" turn around and decry efforts to uncover the leak of the NSA program, which was far more hurtful to our national security then Plame could of ever been. While I never expect any sort of consistent morality from 9/10'ers it's always fun to point out their hypocrisy, especially when confronted with such an egregious example as this.
