This guy has no clue... He should be encouraging his students to use blogs as a way to promote creative writing, and get his students more involved with technology. This is what happens when older people have no idea about technology. They look for all the negative and don't see how much good it could do. What an idiot this guy is! If my kid was going to a school like this I'd transfer them right away.
This is cool I guess, must be all fiction because smart people would not leave their IPs, IRC nicks, or AIM names open for everyone to see. For the most part it is true what they are doing. Good idea, and for people watching who have no clue about the scene, they'll prob like it for a while. Kept me entertained for a few minutes.
Coaches also have to be smart enough to know who is good enough to do what job. If your a tech manager and don't know who knows what, your gonna have a problem.
I work for a big financial company in the US. My manager hired me, never asked me any questions in my interview (probably because he didn't know what to ask), and has little tech ability. This effects my whole group because he has such little tech ability he doesn't even know who does or who does not know what they are talking about. I belive a good tech manager is like a good baseball manager; they know how to judge talent(ability) when they see it or hear it, and they know about or have experience in the area they are dealing with. I think a tech manager especially one not at the senior management level, should be able to answer any question pertaining to his/her group. The buck should stop at them.
I was hoping Apple would release a better network share option. I use my PC as an mp3 server for my mac, this works great with the itunes share, but i can't make playlists, rate songs, or see how many times a song has been played from the client mac. This option would be great. maybe the next version.
