    The chance of automatically installing malware when you plug in a USB device is also WAY lower on Linux.

    Except it kinda is, since the score is mostly used to filter what messages are shown. You aren't supposed to mod down something just because you disagree with it.

    We keep launching off bits of planet into space, which is presumably bad. Ergo, anything bad for us is good for the planet.

    We are experiencing a huge change in the ocean biomes due to ocean warming, acidification, melting ice, and fishing. Most of our oxygen comes from the oceans. You might welcome a few degrees warmer temperature, but would you welcome a change in oxygen content in either direction?

    It's not that Gitmo detainees will gain super powers if transferred to US. It's that the detainees might get some ridiculous notion that they have some rights and due process since they are in the USA. That's what the senators are afraid of. The prison staff might have more qualms with doing certain enhanced techniques on American soil.

    Vendors are selling pretty computers because computers have been "good enough" for a while. Performance isn't a big deal for people outside gaming.
