I'm not 100 percent with the whole free software foundation ideology, but something about it that really appeals to me is the implication for computer security. If we could just get people to provide the blueprints for their software, I think it would go a long way to increasing computer security. Having thousands of people across the world looking at code for bugs is a heck of a lot better than just the dozen developers assigned to a particular product. It's already easy to find ways to make programs crash; let's focus on trying to find ways to keep them up by fixing bugs. Rolf
