Microsoft is going to far. I think this is one place we need Bill Gates to keep his hands off. The money they invest in this they could invest in hacker prevention.
I see both sides of this. If we start donating then these organisations may end up going corrupt. But if we don't then it might limit the potential of our dear open source programs that we adore so much. The question is: "Is corruption a price to pay for open source programs?"
The day that free P2P is stopped is the day that cable internet companies get masses of customers disconnecting their services. P2P is the basis of many home user's usage. Looks like most people are going to downgrade their plans. Less profit for the internet service providers.
Don't you just hate when you get calls from telemarketers at the most inappropriate times (any time in fact). They are a pain. Well it looks like the pain is now chronic. Spyware is the new age telemarketing without your knowledge. Big Brother is watching and really is more like a Big Bother. Its programs such as Kazaa that ruin your computer. Along with the fact your running windows but thats another story. Its like when did surfing the internet turn into an invasion of privacy.
How can we trust a product that comes from Microsoft. The way that Xbox is going, Microsoft will need to release patches for it every month. Every man and his dog can "use" it but I'm guessing it will crash with kernel errors like our faithful friend Windows. Just because it theoretically can process more than the ps2 doesn't mean it will do this without fault. It's no wonder they can reduce the cost of the Xbox, how can you put a value on something so worthless.
Well they have already got one charge of theft so why not keep Kazaa running in the background and get them on a second charge of piracy. The FBI will surely catch them then.
