    Limited liability means the financial liability of the company is limited to its paid up capital.
    Nowhere does limited liability means i can get away with the a limited punishment if i commit a crime.

    If that were the case, trial lawyers would have a field day as they defend murderers, etc. on same proposal.

    Most Mom & Pop shops are not limited liability stuff.

    Nope it would not have been so easy for him.
    Remember the scene in Transformers where the Special Forces unit calls Qatar to a call center who does not recognize the emergency and refuses to forward the call to Pentagon??

    Something similar should have been done to Transunion President who tried to freeze his credit report.
    After listening to soothing music for 30 mins, he should have been transferred to a call center monkey with a scripted response: "Am sorry sir. I would have to disconnect you now for your language. Please call back later."

    This would have taught the Transunion president something about selling someones else's data.

    It is high time this crap about settlements stopped.
    If a natural person cannot be offered a settlement if he/she committed a crime, why should a corporation be any different?

    A corporation is an extension of a natural person for separate liability.
    Since it is manned by people, the natural persons responsible for committing a crime oin behalf of a corporation should be jailed.

    Why should sgareholders suffer losses because some idiot CEO or criminal CFO cooked up statements or committed a crime by using Corporate Veil.

    After all the corporate veil does not apply if the Govt. is owned any money. Similarly the corporate veil should not apply when shareholders and pensioners get robbed of their dividend because of settlements.

    I suggest the journalists sue the CEO directly as a person who ordered a crime.

    Circumstantial evidence cannot be used to prove a crime was committed.
    The fact that i parked a car overnight in front of a beer store does not mean i drank 256 cases of beer all night.
    If my application for employment is rejected on that basis, the trucking company will stare down a $1.2 million lawsuit for discrimination based on personal prejudices.
    In fact the trucking company will have a hard time in court with my lawyer who will proceed to question the president of the trucking company that since his car was parked for 2 night a block away from a strippers club, does it mean he went there???

    Lets face it. These photos are an invasion of privacy under existing law and since Bush and Cheney seem to think the citizen privacy can be invaded as much as possible, we should first post photos of bush's daughters and cheney's private rooms...

    In Norway, if a business/natural person fails to pay a debt, the debtor can move the court to declare the business/person as bankrupt legally.
    Instead of asking for Post Judgement Collection activities, Foster should request the court declares RIAA as bankrupt and put it under receivership.
    This will enable a court-appointed person to do a firesale of all RIAA assets, which might to just the desks, PCs and a few 25 cent CDs...

    But RIAA would be bankrupt.

    I wish the court would declare it legally bankrupt.

    Fuck! I can forsee the repeat of the same Old Order entering Mars and Moon.
    First they will mine indiscriminately both bodies and earn zillions more. Then people will realize it how it pollutes earth plus the Mars and Moon.
    At which time the US Govt. will enter and use tax payers money to subsidize these fat cats to install pollution controls.
    Thirdly the influence of private cos will grow to "1984" levels.

    Until we establish a fearsome firewall for migration and disallow all guys/gals with Cheney tendencies and also set a high and low threshold of IQ to migrate, we will end up with another Earth on Mars.

    Screw Geneva convention.
    Our own Govt. will sick the DHS on us before we can even "think" about maglite.
    Let me count the ways...
    1. Maglite would be under an unspeakable warrant by FBI and DHS for producing WMDs.
    2. Pilots toolkits would no longer conetain maglites.
    3. People who bought, borrowed or lent maglites would be under investigation for procuring or distributing WMDs...oh of course thaey can't tell it to even their families.
    4. Anyone caught in the actual usage of such maglite would be arrested and rendered either to their native country (Rudy Polanski would be sent to Poland, etc.) or rendered to Gitmo.
    5. Congress would pass two law: One would be to outlaw maglite-like bulbs and another allots about $5 billion of taxpayers money to subsidise Maglite Corp. Also since maglites are made in CHina this would make FTC to ban all chinese imports of bulbs, etc.
    6. Ebay would be pulling down as rapidly as possible all maglite sales...
    7. Maglites would be traded as currency in Second Life and WoW.
    8. Someone would beat a cop with a maglite and it would be classified immediately as a First-Degree assault weapon on par with Colt Magnum .38 special.

    1. According to Bush, if you are not a terrorist, then you have nothing to hide [NSA].
    2. If you cannot provide proof that you did not commit the crime, then you committed the crime. [Guantanamo].

    To extrapolate this further using your favorite Bushisms, if Rove cannot prove he did NOT order this, then he must be the one guilty of ordering it.

    Supercomputers and Mainframes are for totally different purposes.
    A supercomp will do one and only one job parallely to finish it off much faster than any other computer.
    A M/F can handle multiple jobs at the same time with lesser speed, but with considerable stability.

    For many companies, one S/390 running OS/390 or even an AS/400 (not related) is more than enough for their entire Notes setup.

    A supercomputer cannot be used to do that 24/7.

    They are fast racecars which cannot race outside of circuit.

    When u opened an account it was a contract between you and the bank.
    No party to a contract can change the terms of the contract without consent of the other party. Period.

    Get a lawyer and send a legal notice.

    Its Not that easy to debit an account.
    I just came back after writing my Banking Law paper.
    A bank is essential a loanee of your funds.
    Without your clear unambigous instructions in writing, they can't touch a cent.
    If they do, they are liable criminally for fraud.
    So just randomly debiting an account does not fly EVEN if the bank made a mistake.
    The only recourse open for it to is to request you to repay the amount and/or sue you.
