  1. Just looks nicer on 17,000 Downloads Does Not Equal 17,000 Lost Sales · · Score: 1

It looks nice on the numbers and sounds easily defensible. However we all know this is untrue. When they find 1.000 Rollex watches, this is not a loss of 1.000 Rolex watches. The problem is that it most likely also will not be 0. So it is somewhere between 0 and 1.000. But where.

Obviously the 1.000 sounds nicer, especially when you put a value next to it. The same can be said when drugs are cought in large quantities and the street value is quoted. Well, sorry, but the value is wholesale value, not street value.

So even if I downloaded 100 albums, that does not mean I would have bought them otherwise, because I would not.

It just looks nicer having large numbers. It would be pretty stupid to say: We cought somebody and he did cost us 15USD and that is why we go to court.

150 WPM is certainly possible. The world record typist could maintain an average 150 WPM rate for 50 min. She had bursts as high as 212 WPM.

And this is why most often there is no real gain.

The speed is very good for the ancient use of a keyboard where the secretary typed first by reading her steno and later by listening to the dictaphone. However I very seldom see people just typing letters all day long. The closest I have seen is data entry and there you still have a lot of numbers used and not just text.

Most of the time people type, use the mouse, type, click a bit, enter numbers and letters mixed.

re-typing a book is what the keyboard is good for. Coding or current daily use isn't one of its strong points. Even with the thing I wrote here, I wrote a few words, stopped, thought, deleted and re-typed. If I would type twice as fast, the whole would not increase that much. Guessing is that about 25% is actual typing. The rest is re-reading and thinking.

When she was 18, she suddenly was allowed to do all this, because she was old enough. She became the school slut within weeks. Now I feel sorry for her, because she was absolutely not ready for this.

Kids should learn to fall and hit their head (emotionally as well). This is what growing up is about. Learning your boundaries.

of course Best Buy has access to your home address, via your credit card.

This would not be the case in Belgium. In fact it is even illegal to do it that way. If I give only my credit card details, all they will have is the following information:
Last 4 numbers of the credit card (We are not allowed to keep the credit card number anywhere)
The name of the credit card holder and the expiration date.
From the transaction itself the time, amount, item and card. (e.g. visa)
Some extra information related to the payment itself an the communication concerning the payment.

No link there with the users address. So unless we link it elsewhere with the address, we would have no idea what that would be. Calling the company will result in nothing but wasted time for both as they are not allowed by law to tell us the address.

Just look at how long the hardware copies should be kept and then just do the same for the rest. That way there is no doubt.

I do almost the same. As I use mainly microSD it is a very small box for pills. In it also an SD adapter and a USB adapter. This is how you can keep your stuff. If things still get mixed up, buy some paint and give each of them a different color. You only need to have three colours for 4 people.

For example: pink for the daughter, blue for the son, white for the wife and no colour for the husband. That way marking them is a job of each owner and if they forget, the item becomes automagicaly dads. Mark your stuff or its mine worked in the past and lessons are very fast learned. The kids might hate you for it, but you are not there to become their friend, but to give them valuable lessons for the future.

Keeping their stuff to themselves will learn them ow to organize things on other levels as well.

Oh and thanks for the hotel, that will be mine now as well. You can buy it if you want.
