I am related to Henny van Andel-Schipper When she was born, the doctors told her she would not be older than 6 weeks and her mother should forget about her. She was held warm by her grand mother. She lived at home till in her 40-ies and ran away from home then with a man that was divorced. As a kid she was often sick. When she became older (80), she decided to give her body to the local University, so not to bother family and/or friends with a funeral. When she became older than 100, there was a change in interest. It was not anymore about just another body for autopsy lessons. It became serious. She was looked at on a regular basis and when she died at the age of 115, there was a process to replace her blood as soon as possible.
Not only did they discover that their was no trace of Alzheimer anywhere, they found some other stuff about aging as well.
She was also the reason why they started a centenarian process in The Netherlands to as more people who are older than 100 to donate their bodies.
Her real answer on getting old where : keep breathing and don't die. Somebody has to be the oldest and this time it is me. As if she was saying that correlation was not the same as causation.
I have read a bit about real old people and what is evident is that all are positive minded.
So think about donating your body to science or, to put it in a way you would better understand: Open Source your remains. Because why not?
The ONLY think that Linux needs is pre-installed. People do not care what OS they run.They happily use MacOS on the Iphone, Android on their tablet and Windows on their PC or any other combination they can buy.
Those people that do their own install already run what they want and go out of their way to run it.
The fact that it is saving diskspace is not important. You will have more updated help available. The times you need it when th network is down should be limited. Just bought bew hardware and I got 2 cds with it. I do not have CD player. Why not include a cheap USB 2 key. 1gb would be enough.

And if keyboards are such an issue do as I do. The two places I am the most (home and office) I have a real keyboard sitting on my desk. At home I even have a dedicated screen. My office it not at the local coffee shop, so not an issue.
If I travel and I know I need to work from my hotel room, I take my (small) keyboard with me. At a remote office I always can steal a keyboard. Just in case, I have a PS2toUSB converter with me all the time.
Where I work I hear these jokes about black people all the time from black people. No problem there, right? But when a white girl, who is marries to a black guy and has 3 kids with him made a joke and she was called a racist (by one person. The other black people thought it was funny)
So you can make jokes about your own stereotype, but not another. Got it.

And when I got a joke that I thought was too racy, I received it later from my female cow orker.
To me most of the times racist jokes are jokes in then first place. And I know as at another place a LOT of people made fun of where I am from. Then they asked if I knew a joke about where they where from and all I said was "Only two, the rest is true." and at that moment you will see who are joking and who are racist. Hint: If they laugh they aren't racist.
To me it is taking being PC way too far in many instances. It has become the "think of the children" thing when I read about it.
If it was that bad, why did you not file a lawsuit? Why did you not speak up. If it is really that bad and you left because of it, why did you not say anything? Being silent is just as bad as participating.
No matter how, you will have to decide to call people freedom fighters and when they are rebels. Or even more subtle, wanting independency or wanting their independency or even not against it.
Also we now know that there is a difference between facts and opinion. Should opinions be seen as news? When I have one, probably not, when POTUS has one, probably yes. So where is the line?
So 100% objective and neutral news is not possible. That does not mean you should not try to achieve it, as long as you understand that it will be abused by people and it will give nutjobs a platform where people might start to think that because they are heard, there must be some truth in it.
If you have 100 scientist say that it is proven and 1 idiot says it is not, you can not give both the same amount of place/time to put out their ideas. OTOH it could well be that that 1 person was right, so you can't shut him up either.
This: Many people got convinced not to vote for Hilary for whatever reason and she lost. The media fanfare is fueled by what people are interested in and if that is her emails, that is what they will write about.
Not sure if it is in the US Constitution; but with first past the post you support bi-party systems. That is proven to be true. The fact that there are 18 other parties is irrelevant. Just like you can have a monopoly, even if there is still some competition left.
There are way better systems where people would have actually a choice to vote for A, but against B, where tat is now not really an option. There will be things you love about one party and something else with the other party.

Living in Belgium where voting is required by law. 1) You could go on a holiday. Have proof and you are OK. No, a Booking.com where you can weasel out of is not ok. 2)Be sick and have it confirmed by a doctor. As you need similar things when you can't get to work, no problem. Obviously if they find a doctor that writes them a lot, that would become an issue for him. 3) You are not required to vote. You are required to show up. Whatever you do behind the curtain is your business. If there are paper ballots, you can just leave it blank. There: you did not vote. If it is electronic, you have the option not to vote. You vote, not to vote.
What people mean by voting is actually "showing up", because nobody should be able to verify IF (let alone what) you voted or not. That is another reason why paper ballots are so much better.
It is weird that the majority of people who work with computers are against electronic voting, yet politicians still want it.
