  1. Been available? on Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Released · · Score: 1

Maybe someone slipped something in my coffee, but the day the "Home Directory Wiping version" came out I found myself in an Apple Store. There were copies all over of Office for Mac 2004, including the student and teacher addition. I was holding one in my hand while telling of the /. story to a friend of mine. This post would then be a week or so late no?

Nope using mozilla Firebird, all is cleared. Funny I guess it shows how little I know about fragmentation. I thought fragmentation occurred from creating/deleting files. My machine at home (XP Pro as well NTFS) is fragmented something awful. That I can see at I routinly will create / delete many 300 Meg plus files daily. It's this lame internet PC being so fragmented that surprised me.

Mmmm the key here would be that it is somewhere documented in their database. IE: You complained about HD noise at some point while you were under Applecare waranty (and they had a record of the complaint). You could always sign up now for Applecare, telling them that everything is working fine. Then luck have it, in a week or so, all of a sudden -the HD starts making noise!

I'm on a WinXP PC day 15 after install (NTFS). This PC has been used for web surfing/e-mail only. -No downloads -No Multimedia content According to the Windows Disk Defragmenter: "You should Defragment this Volume" upon closer inspection: "Total Fragmentation = 12%" "File Fragmentation = 24%" It is 85% free space. Hmmmmmm. Any explanations?

You are the victim of the "click of death" this is a very well documented HD defect (not an FS defect). Tell Apple about it, or go to an Apple store. They will replace your HD free of charge.

Next post shows international space station to be around 91 Billion. Funny I did the same thing this week. I told everyone that I was buying a new car for roughly $23,000. I realized that I couldn't afford the payments so now I'm thinking of picking up a $91,000 Mercedes SL I think it's the logical choice, no?

Now granted China is the leader of black market and bootleg items but what engineering marvels are they responsable for? (Sans Great Wall) I'd be pretty damn impressed if they could make a decent car, (or bicycle) much less a space station. Really what nations want to jump in on that investment? All though, those free tupperwear containers that you get with the lunch specials are pretty kick ass, they're even microwave safe.... In all seriousness this is just politics. Smart money says they get to join the 16 nation coalition of the spacebound.

http://www.space.com/news/iss_panel_010824-1.html (Not good with html tags -yeah I know, I know) apparently 30.1 Billion for a space station, but you can bring the cost down with coupons and waiting for the off season sales on industrial space-age plastics.
