I lost our backup tapes once. I left them on top of my car when carrying them to the off site storage. Fortunately, or mabye unfortunately, when I went looking for them, I found that I had ran over them. User data safe, 6 dds4 tapes destroyed, huge ulcer from worrying about server crash on the day of incident.
Why are all successful home grown businesses started in someone's garage? Hasn't anyone ever create anything in the den, or dining room? Am I doomed to failure because I don't have a garage and work in my mother's basement?
While I agree with most of your post, I'd have to take a squad of comparatively armored mechs against M1's any day. Being a former M1A1 gunner, mechs would be a nightmare. They'd have the mobility and reaction time of infantry with the armor and fire power of a tank. Their larger size would be my only advantage, and 8' x 3' isn't that much larger, at range, from a human. Firing the main gun takes patience and timing. Hell, you have to walk the rounds into troops firing the coax machine gun, which is 7.62 and wouldn't do much damage to the mechs. A platoon of M1's backed up by light infantry would be a different story, though.

Yeah, it's nicotrol. I tried it when I quit. They were okay, but I think the added 'heating' would give a much better effect, simulating hot smoke. Mmmm, makes me want one now.....
I've never thought about why stuff was always $**.95 before, but that's spot on. It doesn't seem to work on me, I always just say it costs '20 bucks' if it's 19.95. But, I've talked to family and friends about products before, and I say it's $20 when looking at an ad, they look at it and say, no, it's 19.95.
