Uh-oh. Sounds like the HD is about to go...

Having followed this a bit too closely, I suggest the following additions/amendments to the options:

Replace Sal Wise with two options: Sal Wise, Sr. and Sal Wise, Jr.

    Add Vincent Messina

    Add Vincent Massina

Add "Some dumb kid named Angelo"

There is actually some confusion whether Messrs. Messina and Massina are the same guy or not.

Why not digitally sign the manuscript and send the signature over to a PGP Digital Timestamping Service? Keep the timestamped signature just in case somebody beats you to the punch and you're right, and save yourself the embarassment if you're not.

I got suspended for "hacking" the o_teacher account in Grade 7. I think that was about as angry as I saw Mr. E that year. Of course, the password was something like "secret" or not set or something. They were relying (as far as I could tell) on not publishing the login for the teachers' account. The student account was o_student, so it wasn't much of a leap.

If they can't read it, well, do you really want to work for somebody who can't even d/l Acrobat Reader?
Not all companies do their own hiring, and it's common practice in some areas for recruiting agencies to say "It would be preferable that CVs are sent in MS-Word format." at the end of job ads. What then? What I'd really like is some kind of dvi -> MS-Word process. The output only needs to be viewable and printable in Word, not editable.

I can see electronic voting for dogcatcher, etcetera. But for national political office? Too much can go wrong.
Heh. The Students' Union at my uni toyed with the idea of running the annual election using E-voting, but they decided against it because of security and anonymity concerns. So our Students' Union is more worried about these things as concerns our annual "elections" than those who are in charge of getting real governments elected. Go figure.
