My band had hosting through Merchbox.com and when we broke up, of course we stopped paying for the site. Not being web gurus, we did not have our DNS disabled, so they were still getting a few random hits when people tried to get to our page (very few, we were not famous and only played out 5 times) .
So how did Merchbox handle this? Somehow, traffic to our page was "magically" being redirected to a gay pr0n site.
So either someone hacked their box and did it, or someone working for their company did it.
I'll admit, we should have been more savvy and changed the DNS, but that was very unprofessional. Beware of Merchbox.
I would trust an all-powerful, all-knowing being before i trusted the very church that has sheltered child molesting priests.
We can never know what alterations have potentially occured to the "bible" or any ancient texts unless we look at the original copies and can read the language. Now who did I lend my first edition Torah to?
When Apple closed the deal on Emagic, I switched to Steinberg and PC. So far so good. Apple will eventually ruin Logic completely.
It's only a matter of using what you can to accomplish things. If you can crank out wicked albums using a Mirage sampler and a Korg M-1, then great. If you have the latest version of something that is expensive and has a million features and doesn't work for you, then that is bad.
When you get lucky and have a version of a sequencer that runs smoothly, don't upgrade it to the latest and 'greatest' just because there is some new whiz-bang feature set. Master what you have and focus on getting productions complete.
a former gear whore and former constant upgrader.
