  1. It's fuzzy logic!!! on Anti-Ballistic Missile Weapons? · · Score: 1
Yeah, I believe the original deal was to prohibit the assembly of ballistic missiles. There was no treaty that specified the prohibition of building ANTI-ballistic missiles :). The US is obviously using fuzzy logic to justify its continuous foray into nuclear weapons technology. Gotta love those government scientists!

Thanks, people. I was looking at the graph merely in one dimension, and didn't even consider that it represented an X-Y axis. Now I understand perfectly. :)

In the 1st article, there is a graph about midway that appears to illustrate the notion that, with the new curve, you are more likely to find the rarest creature than the least-rarest creature. I must not be interpreting right, and I tried reading that part a few more times.

Also, unrelated to the above question, how come it took scientists so long to analyze the obviousness of the microcosm in such detail within the field of statistics? Shouldn't this have been obvious? Why do you think it wasn't? I have no clue.

  4. Programmable bots.... on Carmack on next Q3 test; parts open-sourced · · Score: 2

Wouldn't it be so awesome if the "bots" that will be available in q3 single-player could be programmed, just like you can program a robot in Robot Battle? It might be fun to have online tournaments where only people's bots that they created could participate. I'm sure this could be done, and it would be a LOT of fun!!! Heck, you could even send a bot you created against a real person and watch them crumble against your awesome programming talent! Yeah!
