I'm sure this service would have reached a lot more people and had a greater success if only the cell phone providers didnt charge so much to use the features they advertise.
I can watch TV on my CELL.... Its GREAT... but unless I pay my provider 10-20 extra a month flat rate, then it costs my $50 a meg to watch over their airwaves. If the cell providers werent so greedy, and made it affordable for the masses, ESPN and all the others would be around for a good long time!
You wantted the lug around game machine as a portable, you got it... but sorry its not with an Acer... Its a Dell. Yuppers thats rite... the full size keyboard, 20.1 inch monitor and surround sound, and a nice little handle to boot.. its its own case! Check it out!

Wireless sound to me is an expensive non economical way to get sound from one room to multiple others. different sounds or music in different rooms, will require WAY to much cash for you to even want to consider the wireless solution. However, Wired is your friend. If you are buying a new house, and want to set it up just rite, there is no better way to do it than wireing your house for sound. I wired an apartment I had in Toronto, for less than 100 bucks. was able to get different music and sounds in different rooms, at the same time. I would assume this is your ideal set up. All I used is my current dual AMD box, with my audigy 2 Platinum sound card (I only had 3 rooms to worry about) and my RCA 600Watt surround sound reciver to JUICE it all up. My PC was my central control unit, running a version of Slackware 9 at the time, and a couple different winamps running, I had a winamp for each room, configured it in linux that each version of winamp was set to a different audio channel on my sound card, (reduced to stero sound for the most part) I hit play on living room, that sound played there, play on bedroom winamp, again, different sound played there, and of coarse music in the shower was a big thing for me, so Bathroom was 3rd chanl. Great setup till I had to move and take it down. If you have questions or help, look me up!
SMS and IM on cell phones is over rated and over charged for by the companys running the service. Every provider however does note in the contract you sign or in the documentation you receive from the provider, that turning on the option is free, but is a fee of 10-35 cents a messeage, depending on the provider. The thing is however, there is a solution. For a nominal fee (In My area is $3 CDN a month), you can send unlimited messages over your phone, and not have to worry about the 10-35 cent charge PER message. If you send a lot of IM or SMS messages over your phone, consider contacting your provider for unlimted IM / SMS rates, or stop texting, and wait until your get to your computer!
