A typo disrupts everyone's ability to consume written content.

The other side of the coin, however, is that shit happens. We're writing in an internet forum, not submitting research for academic review (and trust me, typos happen in this context as well). If spending a second to realize that "its" was supposed to be "it's" was the worst part of your day then you had a great day.

In other words, I'm sure you have more important things to complain about and if you don't then learn other ways to enjoy yourself that dont involve you spending your time pointing out the smallest or errors others make. No one likes people who do that.

And if you actually read the news you'd know Russia has a nasty habbit of invading countries in their little sphere of influence that try to align themselves with us. As far as their hacking, the DNC hack is a million miles from Russia's only antiwestern internet mischief. Eastern Europe's internet infastructure faces continual harassment from the Russians or in other words, our allies are suffering constant harrassment by Russia.

You also conveniently fail to appreciate that Russia would still likely still win a war in Europe that didnt involve the US even with a reduced budget.

Now I'm not saying that Russia is a massive threat (as its economic weakness does ultimatly limit what it can do) but what I am saying is that this Trump era "the Russians are our friends" nonsense is so blatently false you have to be either an idiot or willfully naive to think so. Given their actions a small amount of beefing up of our military presense in Eastern Europe (and it has only been a small beefing up) is completely warranted.

Wow, what planet do you live on?

On my planet I live in a place called America which has it's own completely independent government and there are lots of other countries too! There's a United Nations organization here made up of most nations but it does almost nothing aside from disperse aid. No rational person would call it a world government.

Also, we have people like you in our world too! Many of us call them bigots for claiming that helping the poor and dispossessed is bad because they're from countries that practice a different religion than most of us. They do this even though our country was founded on freedom and was supposed to be better than the intolerant parent countries its people came from.

  9. Except he didnt explain his wife's condition or his work needs until (as per TFS) the first day. This was not something all parties were aware of when he signed up.

Something as important as his wife having cancer and her health care needs releative to him wasnt important enough for him to bring up in the interview but suddenly came to mind on his first day? Nonsense. Unless they didnt explain to him what the requirments of the job were when he was hired he lied to them through his omission of these details.

His situation with his wife is certainly a terrible one I wouldnt wish on anyone but this isnt the type of thing one drops on their employer first day and expect everyone to be happy about it.

The NYT article on the subject, which was the first mainstream news source to talk about this, is more what I was going for. News sources catering to political extremes (and despite what the far right will tell the NYT is certainly not far Left) I dont take seriously.

Basically, Breitbart says a lot of things. I dont care.

  12. Of course there's plenty of evidence to support a claim about Trump like that as opposed to stuff like "Gun control!? You hate America!", "Social programs to help the poor!? You hate America!" "(Insert non conservative view)!? You hate America!" There are elements of the Right that love playing the "You hate America" card when people express contrary political views to their own as if we're North Korea and not a free nation.

Dont get me wrong, there are jerks on the Left that want to be mind police too. I was just calling out the above poster on their shit.

Furthermore, if the FBI or any other applicable federal agency did so in the context of the investigation into Trump's possible Russian involvement referenced in the now famous NYT article (and there is no evidence they did) there is no scandle there as long as proper protocols were observed like getting approval from the judiciary.

After that I'm done. I tried to post a rebuttal below the above comment but your post is too weird and rambling. Everyone knows drone strikes happen, what does that have to do with the topic on hand? Obama kept the Iraq war going? He was scaling the war back continually until ISIS invaded Iraq and forced him to give the Iraqis aid not at all on par with what they were getting during the height of the Iraq war. That's bad?

Your post hurts my head. I'm done here.

I commented on this above in a comment thread before yours. A few people not being able to keep their doctors is in no way on par with a president fabricating criminal claims about the previous president. As I said above, that's the type of claim you see in unstable third world countries.

Nope, I'll just point out that a personal shift on gay marriage 4 years after stating a contrary position and the fact that a few people had to change doctors is not on par with fabricating claims that the prior president engaged in criminal conduct.

That's the kind of shit you see out of third world hacks and is a major contributor to political instability in those countries.

TRUMP: "I was personally wire tapped and Obama ordered it!"

PRESS: "Donald Trump Unhinged! Claims he was Spied On. Unfounded!!!!"

Do you see the huge glaring gap there between the first and second lines? That's the reason for the third line.

There is currently zero evidence for Trump's claim and the president making such a claim about a prior president without evidence is indeed unhinged.

I notice salt has dropped out of the conversation entirely. Funny.

And companies ad lots of sugar to food because it tastes good and have been doing so for long before anyone was doing bran scans. If it tasted like garbage no one would use it.

So no, adding sugar or the now conveniently omitted salt is not like lacing food with hard drugs.

  22. There's no way to tell a large company from a small? Nonsense, there are dozens that government already uses for various taxes and programs and probably more we could make up.

As for the local stuff I'm not trying to "save my local community" (please dont put words in my mouth). What I am saying is that there is a plethora of data out there that more of every dollar one spends at a local compay stays in ones community as opposed to money spent at a major chain.

  23. It's funny how some idiot conservatives like to claim that Mom and Pops are exactly the same as major corperations. Maybe there's such a thing as scale and size as while a "Mom and Pop" can be incorperated when the average citizen refers to "corporations" they are typical refering to national or international ones. Major corperations are also active in major areas of the economy where it is literally impossible for Mom and Pops to participate. Plus, in the few areas where they can actually participate Mom and Pops have no corporate headquarters to siphon money out of local communities and typically know and interact with the employees whose lives are effected by their business decisions.

But major corporations and Mom and Pops both "do business" so they're the same, right!?
