I never had a PS2, and since none of the launch titles appealed to me I've been using my PS3 almost exclusively for PS2 games. I'm actually quite happy playing "old" games like DQ8 and FF XII that I've never had a chance to play before.
The PS2 compatibility was a huge selling point for me.
Oh man, I made out like a bandit. I was sent two(!!) Dragon Warrior cartridges by mistake, so I sold the extra one and my old copy of DW, and kept a copy of the free Dragon Warrior, which I still have.
In fact, last year I plugged in my old NES and my level 23 character named BOOB is still there, which surprised the hell out of me since I thought the battery life was about 5 years.
It's obvious you never worked in an office that had fish eaters. Someone nuking squishy fishy is enough to make me retch.. I couldn't imagine the stench from some clueless wonder panfrying some fresh fish.
Yeah yeah, hood fans and all that but we all know that the same clueless wonder that nukes a big ol' bowl of fishguts in a crowded office would also never think to use the fan.
