I wrote a bit of software that does link analysis on email a few years back -- it was meant as a personal tool for oneself, but it certainly gave me a very good insight into how easy it is to cluster and view entire social networks.

  2. Mythbusters on helium balloons... on Make Your Own Cluster Balloon · · Score: 3, Informative
The Mythbusters (Discovery Channel) did a segment on what it takes to get liftoff from helium balloons.

    From http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/mythbusters/epis ode/episode_06.html:

So, this guy named Larry Walters attached something like 45 weather balloons to this lawn chair. One of the tethers broke on the unemployed truck driver's little invention, shooting him straight up into the air. Apparently he sailed to 16,000 feet, where he was spotted by airline pilots, eventually closing LAX airport. He was finally rescued by a helicopter after he floated out to sea. Is this popular Internet legend full of hot air? Will Jamie and Adam close LAX?

They tried doing this, and let's just say it took a LOT of balloons to get a young girl even neutrally buoyant.

So how hard woud it be to write an Apache module that creates automatic meta tags? And, simply include a few examples switched on at default:

    - meta tag to indicate being served by apache version whatever
    - meta tag to include company copyright notice
    - meta tag to disable Microsoft Smart Tags

hmmm. i'd not thought of starting a market research firm... nah, i'd rather keep doing silly websites.

you're correct -- the second part of the questionaire *currently* does not affect the results. i've some thought to return results based upon a closer demographic of the test taked (ie, 65 year-olds being compared against similar ages). this would require having enough data on those demographics beforehand...

the data is being collected as part of a research project (academic) and will not see the light of even one market research firm... see my earlier post for more.

actually, the data is being used for a research project on personality differences -- which explains the demographic questions at the end. none of the data will be used commercially; and arguements-aside on the IP part, it's anonymous so there won't ("can't") be any corrolation made back to a particular individual.
