Hi, I work at EVL/UIC where the CAVE was originally developed. I've helped install many CAVEs and am currently co-developing a new type of auto-stereoscopic VR device called the Varrier(tm) System. We have also developed several other active and passive stereo VR systems as well. To give you the inside scoop, EVL is no longer primarily interested in developing CAVEs. There are many other high-quality and affordable displays to be discovered.
